Millenia was often at the Lake, but ever since that Incident, which was also Narish Birth… She was never alone, while mostly Cobra was at her side, assigned as her Personal Guard, sometimes the Twins Alure and Solei accompanied them.
This day was the same, Alure and Solei where with them. Cobra was teaching Alure some selfdefense strategies, while Solei was hunting a small purple Fairy. He seemed even more obsessed with everything Purple recently, while the Hybrids grew more and more in Number. There are seven of them now, while Syo had chosen to not life with them at the Castle. It was fine for everyone as he had came to them to ask how he could set up a shop like many others on the Grand Square. Croma and the others had helped him build his Flower Shop and now he was selling them happily.
Millenia was glad he integrated that nicely into their small Realm. The Fairy was finally annoyed at Solei’s tries to catch her and make her his Pet, so she lured him to the Lake of Souls. In a matter of Seconds she used her Fairy dust to make him Fall into the Water.
Cobra and Alure only heard a splash, before the Fairy flew away. Millenia felt Magic wave across the Lake. Something was going on in there. She felt a flicker in her Time Magic, so no one really noticed what happened as time was frozen till the Magic died down.
Solei couldn’t breath. That Damn Fairy had tricked him and now he was slowly drowning in the Water. Suddenly he felt his Soul burn, magic throbbing around him. It was old Magic, all that had remained from the old Ancestors.
He wanted to Scream as his Soul burned even more, it was like someone was cutting out a piece. He wanted to yell but then it felt like the water Froze. His Vision went dark for a few seconds, or so it seemed. He only felt something touching his Soul before all the Burning finally stopped.
The next time Solei’s eye-lights came back, he was face to face with something that looked almost like Narish. Although there was a bit difference, the horns were golden like Solei’s the covering on the other Eye and he was more yellowish brown and not a blueish black like Narish.
Solei couldn’t believe his eyes, did those damn Ancestors just try to mess with him? They can be glad to be dead or he would make them all his little Playthings. Apparently the Ancestors could feel what he thought, because the Water seemed to boil, before he tried to swim to the Surface. He took a deep breath as he broke free. Alure ran up to him.
“Solei? Are you okay?” Solei nodded.
“Yeah, but there is something down that looks like Narish!” He said, finally escaping the Water.
“Something like Narish?” Cobra asked, walking closer to the Water.
“Solei… Did you upset the Ancestors?” He asked as he saw the Lake boiling as if in Rage.
“I would never!” He said, while pouting.
Cobra sighed, of course he had to Piss of the Ancestors.
“Arisa.” She walked close to him.
“I felt the Time freeze for a while, i think they didn’t want us to interrupt.”
Cobra blinked, this was new to him. Then Finally something drifted on the Surface, or more, someone.
“He really looks like Narish.” Cobra said, fishing the other out of the Water.
“That may be, but his Soul is incomplete.” Millenia said, walking over to them.
“What does that mean?” Alure asked softly, coming closer to take a look at the new born Dragon. He was so close to Narish, but more like a golden Mirror of the Cold Light. Millenia touched the new borns Hybrids Cheek.
“While Narish was born from your hatred towards the King, This one was only made from a bit of Solei’s pure Emotions.” Cobra was a bit confused.
“But… this makes him practically…” Millenia smiled.
“Not entirely. He will develop his own Emotions, his own Soul. Just give it Time.” Alure looked at him amazed.
“Oh! But… does that mean he is not really.. .alive?” The new Dragon opened his Socket slowly.
“He is alive, but for now will only react to specific things.” He slowly sat up, looking around in Confusion.
“I see! Welcome!” Alure said happily. Making the Dragon turn his Skull to him.
“But… what about a Name for him? Should we wait till his fractured Soul is complete.” Millenia blinked, the six horned Hybrid reacted to that sound.
“Hm?” Cobra noticed it as well.
“Fracture?” He asked, it showed some effect, the Hybrid turned to him.
“Seemed like that will be his Name for the Moment.” Millenia said.
“Can’t we just get rid of him?” Solei asked, mad at the Attention this Copy of him got! Alure turned to him.
“Solei?” Alure asked with a soft smile. Birds scattered into the Air as a painful Smack echoed through the Air.
Alure had taken Fractures Hand, while the other was far bigger as the little purple Hybrid. Solei was behind them, walking with a bruised cheek. Alure had slapped him so hard. Cobra walked next to Solei.
“You brought this upon yourself. Not everything is circling around you.” He said.
Millenia was walking with Alure and Fracture. Solei pouted, never did Alure slap him, this was new to him. Kiros and Pulvis starred at the returning to Group.
“What the fuck is going on, Nightlight?” Kiros asked, seeing Alure holding the Hand of that new Hybrid.
“Let me explain.” Millenia interrupted.
Pulvis nodded slowly, hopefully he could follow, cause damn had he many cookies.
“This is Fracture, apparently he was born from a little piece of Solei’s soul but was left mostly empty to develop his own.” Kiros came closer to Fracture.
“So he is basically like Moonlight?” Millenia nodded softly.
“Yes, he has basically Leader Potential, once he developed his own Emotions.” Cobra sighed.
“Let’s bring him in for now.” Pulvis grinned, while turning to get inside the Castle. Kiros chuckled.
“Cookie had to much cookies.” Solei still pouted behind the others, but they all choose to ignore him. Narish and Croma looked surprised as Alure guided Fracture to the Throne room.
“This is… unexpected.” Narish said, it was a bit like he looked in a Mirror with different Colours.
Millenia explains the Situation to the others again, while Narish watched this new Born Hybrid.
“Is that why the other is so pouty?” Narish asked, seeing Solei being all weird.
“Actually…” Millenia started.
“Alure slapped him.” Cobra finished. Narish blinked for a second, before he bursted out into Laughter.
“Nightlight slapped him?” Kiros asked in disbelief, that was something new. Alure sighed, before going to Millenia.
“Flower… can we kiss?” He asked, the others wondered why, but maybe he was a bit moody and wanted to Feel better again?
Millenia got down to her Knee’s because Alure was one of the smallest, only Solei was smaller as Alure, making Solei the smallest of them all. Narish noticed as Fracture turned a bit, watching Nightlight and Flower kiss. It was faint but it seemed he reacted to small things, but Narish could watch as Fracture tried to figure out what was going on.
“Flower.” Seems like Pulvis had noticed it too. Alure broke the Kiss to see what was going on.
“Seems like Fracture is curious about Kissing.” Pulvis said, Fracture was watching Alure and Millenia. Millenia got up on her feet again, Fracture was far taller as her, he was 7’4, she only was 5’7. Narish smiled a bit.
“If he is interested, when why not grant him a Kiss, Flower?” Millenia blushed a bit, standing in front of Fracture.
“You want a Kiss to?” He wasn’t able to answer, but bend down to meet her, because she was so much smaller as him. The others watched as Millenia stretched to kiss Fracture. The others saw a small reaction from Fracture, it looked like it helped.
“For now we should Focus on helping Fracture.” Narish announced.
“Any Idea’s how we do that?” Kiros wondered.
“I would say we just let him stay with us for now and let him see how we interact with one another and others in General.” Cobra suggested.
“I also shall take him with me to the Lake. He was born from ancient Magic so it might help him grow faster.” Narish nodded.
“This sounds actually like a good Plan.” He said, but there was another thing they needed to clear now.
“Where should he sleep for the Time being?” Narish asked, but as soon as the Question left the Leader, he noticed that Fracture’s Tails had coiled around Millenia and Alure.
“Seems he answered the Question for us.” Croma said. Narish wasn’t really that confused for Fracture’s Decision. From the selection of People Alure and Millenia were the best choice to develop his own soul fully.
“Seems like gold nugget wants to spend time with Nightlight and Flower.” Kiros grinned. Narish sighed deeply.
“You already want to include him, Cherry Muffin?” Kiros grinned at Narish.
“Seeing he chose those two i’m pretty sure he ends up just fine.” Even Narish couldn’t deny it and seeing the Ancestors didn’t just copy Solei’s soul or split it like Alure and him, he was sure Fracture would end up as a good guy.
Alure took Fracture with him, it was after all not yet Time to get Food, but Alure wanted to cuddle with Millenia and Fracture, while maybe reading him a book? It could help after all.
Once in his Room he made the still silent golden Hybrid sit down on his Bed, before grabbed a Bock and looked to Millenia.
“Should i read again?” Alure shook his Skull.
“No, i want to read it, so join us.” He said. Millenia chuckled, before she joined the two Hybrids on the Bed. Alure cuddled close to her.
“Come on Fracture.” He said with a soft smile. Fracture was a bit hesitant at first, but then cuddled closer to the Woman and the Boy as well. Alure started to read them the book he had chosen, it was an Adventure book he really liked.
At some Point Millenia had fallen asleep. Alure smiled at Fracture, kissing her Cheek.
“Let’s sleep for now Fracture.” He offered, the golden Hybrid nodded slowly, moving to be more comfortable but still cuddling close to the other two. It felt warm for him to be closer to them.
Their caring and Alure reading for him seeped into his Bones. He could understand some of the Words Alure had used, even the others he saw before used Words he could understand.
While he was cuddling to them he processed everything, starting to building up his Emotions and Mind. There was still no Idea of how long he may take to Develop from a mere Puppet to his own being, but he also had noticed the rejection the smallest of them got.
Fracture started to think while resting, wondering about many things. It was weird why he felt warm with them, but he would figure it out soon enough.
Fracture felt something touch him, curious of what touched him he opened his socket slowly. Alure was looking at him with a soft smile.
“Good Morning, Fracture!” Fracture wanted to answer him, but there was still no words coming out, but the other didn’t seem to mind.
“It’s time for breakfast!” Fracture blinked. Breakfast was a word he hadn’t heard before and wondered about the meaning of it, only to see Alure jump of the Bed and run to the Door. He moved his Head, seeing Millenia smiling at him, almost the same way Alure had done mere seconds before.
He liked that, for unknown reasons, but then she got out of bed as well. Was it time to Leave? Millenia turned and took his Hand, guiding him softly out of the Room. Fracture looked down on their joined hands, before looking up again. He watched Alure running up to Narish, seemingly saying something to him.
“How was it so far?” Narish asked.
“To be honest i passed out half way of the story…” Millenia said a bit embarrassed. Narish chuckled.
“You were up a long time so no wonder, you sleep not that much in the first place.” Narish said worried. Fracture catches up on that emotion fast, tilting his Skull while he tried to figure out what that was. Millenia smiled a bit, nuzzling into his Touch.
“Don’t worry about me, i’m old already.” Fracture observed them to catch all the slight changes in their Emotions. He mostly don’t get the words but he can feel the shift of Emotions already, that much he had figured out.
They finally went to a big room after some talking, Fracture barely understood. But now they entered a room with a large table and stuff on it. He was a bit confused, but he already saw the smallest of them, the one who got slapped. Solei only looked up a second, before looking down on the Table again.
“Seems someone is still pouty.” Narish said, before he walked up to the Head of the Table. Solei huffed slightly, while Fracture watched the others take a seat at the large Table. Alure ushered him to come closer and sit next to him. Solei grumbled, he hated Fracture because he stole all of the Attention Solei wants.
“Good Morning.” Kiros said with a grin, coming into the Room casually. Fracture watched them interact all together.
“Hey gold nugget, how are you?” Kiros looked at him. Fracture tilted his Skull, Gold nugget was used yesterday already, that much he could keep, but who was gold nugget?
“Cherry muffin.” Millenia said softly.
“You should keep the Nickname until he is ready for it?” Kiros sighed.
“Alright, Flower.” He said, smiling at her, a Knife in hand, spinning it around. Alure chuckled.
“Fracture, after Breakfast we will go to the Lake!” The Hybrid nodded slightly, he heard his name so he tried to react the best way he could think off. Narish looked to Millenia.
“A Specific Reason?” Millenia nodded.
“Yes. I talked with Sharyu, my Soul Weapon. It may be a good idea to have him most of the day close to the Ancestor Magic in the Lake.” Pulvis and Croma came in last, only to hear some of the last bits.
“I see, this actually makes sense.” Narish said.
“So you going to take Cobra and the Twins again?” Pulvis asked.
“No. I wanted to see if one of you will go with Alure, Fracture and Me. Cobra is away the whole day.” Pulvis blinked, finally registering that the silent and Calm Guard was missing.
Kiros was the one lastly saying he would walk with them. Had been a while since he was there last time.
“Sharyu was that woman who stopped me as Narish was born, right?” He walked next to Millenia.
“Correct, i also found out that she was the one sending Solei here as he was still Dream.” Kiros sighed.
“Well can’t say i blame her… but why is Snake away?” Millenia chuckled.
“He is checking on his brother.” Kiros laughed.
“Oh so he is slithering his way there?” Alure snorted. Fracture looking a bit confused.
“Aww, it’ll be so great once he will understand puns.” Kiros said, as they reached the Lake.
Fracture immediately walked up to the Lake, sitting down close to it. Alure watched him as he just starred into the Water. He walked over to him and sat down next to Fracture. Kiros looked to Millenia.
“You can join them. I will try something.” He nodded.
“Alright, Flower.” Kiros adjusted his Knives before he sat down on the other side from Fracture. Alure looked into the Water as well.
“I wonder how long it will take to help him…” Kiros sighed, scratching his Cheek.
“He looks like a Doll.” Alure nodded sadly.
“Flower wants to try something, not sure what though.” Kiros said. Alure nodded.
He wondered what she wanted to try to help Fracture. He started to blink, there was something going on in the Lake, like Magic was gathering there. But there was no flickering in the Air, it was like it was just in the lake and waiting for something.
Millenia looked to the Water, it was worth a try at least.
“Look into my eyes, all eternity you will find. In this fragile heart, know that you will always belong. Shout into the night, show the darkness that you will fight. Hopeless you may fell, but inside i know you are strong.”
Alure blinked, as Millenia started to sing. He didn’t know that song, but it seemed to do something. The Magic that was held inside the Lake seemed to flow out. Kiros stared at that.
“Shit what is that?” Alure saw it to, the magic was flowing to Fracture.
“Keep me in your heart, so we’ll never be far apart. Let the bonds of love, break these chains imprisoning you. Always you will find, shadows lingering close behind. Lift your spirits now, we shall be together soon.”
Kiros catches Fracture as he slumped to the side.
“Flower!” He screamed, panicking as Alure did.
“Make him comfortable.” Millenia said, stepping out of a field of black Flowers. They always grew when she sang.
“What the fuck happened?” Kiros asked, there was still panic in his Voice. Alure looked back to the Lake, but the feeling he had before was gone.
Alure turned to Millenia.
“What happened?” She walked over to them, checking on Fracture.
“I noticed that he wanted to understand what we were saying or did, but he couldn’t. Also he showed interest in the both of us because we were the closest and we were here as he was born.” Kiros looked up.
“So the Ancestors actually?” Millenia nodded.
“They finished him before the flow of Time returned, but kept his soul Prison in the Lake.” Alure sighed.
“Why though?” Millenia turned her Head.
”Sharyu.” The ghostly Woman appeared.
‘To save his Soul from turning towards greed. Seeing that his Soul would have been easily affected from Solei.’ She said calmly.
“Because it originates from him?” Sharyu nodded slightly.
‘Indeed, so keeping his soul Prison to develop interest in others kept his Soul from turning towards the deep Greed.’ Alure looked at Fracture sadly.
“And how long did you Plan to keep his soul?” Kiros asked, almost already pissed, because he surely would not like the Answer.
‘Well, at least a Year.’ Alure jumped up.
“ONE YEAR?” Millenia sighed.
“You should all know this was far unnecessary.” Millenia said calmly.
‘We could not risk to have him fall into the massive Greed Solei is having.’ Alure looked to Millenia.
“I see, you have rather little Trust into him and us.” The silence coming with it was massive. Kiros huffed in anger.
“Flower can we leave?” Millenia looked to the Lake, it rippled slightly, showing the remorse the Ancestors felt.
“Can you carry Fracture?” Kiros nodded, getting up and picked up Fracture. Sharyu wanted to say something.
“Save it.” Millenia said, the Weapon bowed and disappeared.
Alure walked in front of them, while Millenia was behind Kiros having an eye out for Fracture. They would see how he was doing after waking up. For now he was unconscious because of the sudden release of his Soul.
“Hey Flower… Will he be fine?” Kiros asked, while walking back to the large dark Castle.
“I tried to let the Soul flow as slow as possible into him, so he won’t have a Shock or any problems at all… But i am not sure, we will bring him to a spare room and see how he is doing.” The red Hybrid nodded slightly.
“Alright, can we help somehow?” Millenia chuckled.
“I don’t know how long he will be out, so we might take turns in watching him.” Alure noticed Pulvis and Croma not to far away from them and ran up to the two.
“Back already?” Croma asked, but then noticed immediately that Kiros was carrying Fracture.
“What happened!” He jogged to them.
“He got a Soul, but collapsed.” Kiros told him.
“Alright, want me to take over?” Kiros nodded.
“Sure.” They repositioned Fracture on Croma’s back before they went further to the Castle. Alure hurried already to the Castle. He wanted to inform Narish, of what had happened at the Lake, maybe the Leader had an Idea.
Narish was sitting in his newly build Office. The whole Castle was still a work in Progress and they furnished rooms how they needed them, like the big Library with all the old Books or Books they found in other AU’s. Narish sighed. The Idea for the office had come from Kiros, who still remembered his old Boss, Nightmare’s Office, as Kiros had been still a mere Skeleton and not a Hybrid.
Narish shifted to rest his head on his Hand. It was strange. Except him everyone had been a normal Skeleton before, only he was born a pure Hybrid. Now there was a second one, but he seemed more like a Puppet as an actual Hybrid. He looked up with his one Cyan eye as someone knocked softly on his door.
“Enter.” His Voice resounded before Alure poked his Head in.
“Narish, can we talk?” The Leader ushered him closer.
“What is it?” Alure sat down in one of the plush chairs close to Narish Desk.
“The others are on their way here. Fracture collapsed.” Narish put his documents away.
“I noticed something in the Lake and so did Guardian. Apparently the Ancestors kept Fracture’s Soul trapped inside the Lake to avoid it getting affected from Solei’s Soul.” Narish sighed.
“I see. I presume Guardian did something against it?” Alure nodded.
“Yes. Guardian freed he’s Soul but now it needs to be seen if he hit any damage. Guardian said it’s unclear how long he will be out and that we may take turns.” Narish nodded.
“Alright, let them return first and we meet up to discuss the Shifts.” The little purple Hybrid nodded. Narish always stayed calm, now he stood up to meet with Alure the others.
Croma had brought Fracture in a spare Room close to Narish room. Fracture was still out, but his Soul was stable.
“Can we presume it will take as long as our Changing?” Kiros asked.
“Possible, i can’t clearly say.. This is a situation far from my knowledge.” She said worried. Alure sat close to Fracture, looking worried to the others.
“How are we going to do this?” Croma asked. Pulvis was munching on some cookies. Narish was thoughtful.
“We will take turns in a four hour way. I would suggest to talk with him, while on Shift. It could help his Soul and will maybe call him back. I read in a book that some did this then someone was in a comatose state.” The others nodded, it sounded like a good Plan. It was better as doing nothing.
“Can i start.” Pulvis asked suddenly. The others turned to him.
“Are you sure?” Narish asked. Pulvis nodded.
“Sure, would be kinda good for me to talk with him about… you know.” He tapped on his Skull. Narish nodded.
“Then so it shall be.” They went for a Schedule to watch over Fracture. Pulvis stayed behind while the others left to go on their normal way. Pulvis sighed a bit.
“You know… as i was brought here, i was already a Hybrid. I was tortured for i don’t know how long and was on the verge of death, but they wanted to give me a Chance.” Pulvis smiled a bit.
“It was hard at first, because the Voices got more and louder. Back then we had a damn god Doctor here, he was Blind but he knew what he was doing. Sadly he passed away, or he could have helped you far sooner and better as we ever good…”
Fracture heard a Voice in all the Darkness. He tried to recognise it, but it was heard. They talked about a Doctor, about voices and a lot other stuff. He wasn’t sure how long it went on, before a new Voice joined. The first left and the new Voice started to ramble.
Fracture was drifting in the Darkness, but with the passing of Time and the Change of voices and stories he heard, it seemed to become lighter. Like he was drifting towards consciousness. At some Point he started to recognise the voices and what they were talking about.
Pulvis talked about his voices and the torture he had went through, after him was Croma. He talked about silly things, things of the Vicinity they lived in, like the Moon Fruit tree or other different fruits. Fracture should try once waking up. He also told him about Syo, another Hybrid who lived in the Town and had a Flower shop.
After Croma came Narish, but other as the two before him, he reads Fracture books, it varies from Fairytales, Horror and other stuff, he was actually impressed by that. Once Narish was gone, then Kiros took over. He was even more different. Kiros told Puns, lots and lots of puns, good, bad, weird. Fracture wanted to laugh at some, but he wasn’t able to escape the Darkness.
Fracture really wondered if he would be able to wake up… He wanted to be with the others, but it wasn’t easy.
Alure was the next in line, at this point Fracture was sure it was a Line they followed. Alure talked about his world, he was living before with Solei. The little purple Hybrid talked about how Solei had became greedy and how Alure wanted to do everything to show Solei that he should not act on the Greed, it would make him soon very lonely and hated.
Everything went far different after Alure. Fracture noticed that he can smell something, but also heard that Woman’s soft voice, singing for him, only for him. The smell became stronger after she sang, it was like he rested in a field of flowers. It was really nice, even after the cycle started anew he still could smell it. Pulvis was back again.
“Still nothing, huh? It’s been three days already.” Fracture wondered what he meant. Pulvis sighed, it helped Fracture even more, everything turned into a bright light.
He’s eye light finally returned, but Fracture couldn’t see clearly, it was all still hazy.
“Where?” His own voice sounded weird, but he never actually used it up until know. Pulvis bend over him.
“You are awake!” Fracture nodded slowly. Pulvis smiled a bit.
“We started to get worried. Your Soul was stable the whole Time, but you were out.” Fracture slowly sat up, his bones felt stiff. There was something he noticed. His Bed was surrounded by Black Flowers.
“It’s the Guardians Magic. When she sings you know? For Reasons those Black flowers bloom.” That was actually impressive. Pulvis chuckled, outside was fast running coming closer.
“The overs are coming. I informed them that you are away.” Fracture wanted to say something, but the door Flew open. The others came in to check on Fracture. Croma and Alure even had Food and Water with them.
“Good to see you awake.” Narish said, looking at the other four tailed Hybrid.
“I heard you all.” Fracture said.
“It was muffled at first, but with each change it became clearer.” Fracture said.
“I could make out who talked and what was spoken.” Narish nodded.
“We can talk about that later! First you need some Food and Water!” Croma insisted.
Fracture found that he actually liked those guys. After they watched him eat, Narish ushered them all out.
“Wanting to talk alone with me?” Fracture asked.
“Actually yes. I can’t sense the same urge inside you like i can feel it inside Solei.” Fracture laughed a bit dry, his voice was still not used to talking.
“Because i am not. The Ancestors made sure that i won’t fall to that.” Narish nodded.
“I thought as much. You may still be inexperienced, but… want to lead them all with me?” Fracture blinked, was Narish offering him Rulership?
“I may want to think about it.” Narish nodded.
“Alright. I didn’t expect an answer immediately. The other thing is… Croma, Kiros, Alure, Millenia, Pulvis and i share a Poly Relationship.” Fracture nodded. He thought to hear a hint that he can join, if he decided. Fracture would see how he would do with all this new stuff, but he knew he was able to ask them all for guidance if he needed.
“Thank you, for taking care of me.” Fracture said.
“You should thank the others as well.” Fracture smiled.
“I shall.” Narish smiled.
“Be just cautious around Solei, we weren’t successful yet.” The golden six horned Hybrid chuckled.
“I heard, Alure talked a lot about it.” Fracture was curious, how his life would now run, with all these new stuff. Still he was Thankful for this Chance, for this Birth in the Water.
