Two things can be true at once

Ruby Rose may have done some awful things (like how she was towards Jessica Origliasso and outing Demi Lovato) and still be a victim of SA

Victims don’t have to be perfect people in order to be deserving of being believed and empathy

On top of that there is so much evidence of Katy being an absolute creep and it’s about time she gets called out on it more

Sometimes I think about all of the sneering at Barbie (2023) from people who identify as progressive for not being feminist enough or for [insert some combination of buzzwords about capitalism], when in reality, a year after that movie came out, millions of people lined up to vote for a serial rapist over a woman again and you had a lot of those very same self-identified progressives rolling their eyes and dismissing women who cared deeply about electing a woman as president as either cringe or girlboss neoliberal war criminals

If you couldn’t handle voting for a qualified woman over a serial rapist, then clearly, your problem with Barbie was that it had any feminism at all, and your reactionary take on it was part of the larger anti-feminist backlash that led to Trump 2.0.
