Fandom spaces have become more and more unbearable and toxic.
I need people to explain to me the audacity of BL fans and the lack of humanity most of you are showcasing on a daily basis. You are so caught up in your make-believe BL world that you genuinely do not see these actors as real people; you make up scenarios about them, label them, and then run with it without an ounce of consideration.
Chimon has been subjected to nonstop hate, especially since he was paired up with Perth. A reminder that Aof wanted him in a BL; he was the one who catsed him and paired him with Perth.
Even when he recently got hospitalized, his family, especially his sister, and friends were sent hate messages and harassed online. Zero empathy, zero consideration when all you care about is how good a kiss scene is. I am disgusted. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks and yet people still couldn’t find even a bit of kindness towards him.
I have seen all you big BL accounts on this platform and “content creators” on TikTok and YouTube, and how genuinely vile your hate disguised as “criticism” has been towards him and all your passive-aggressive comments. YOU fuel the hate in these spaces.
Depression doesn’t come out of nowhere, and Chimon has shared that publicly, which by itself is such a hard thing to do. He’s been working nonstop since he was a teenager, taking care of his family’s debt, getting his sister through school and university, and getting himself a scholarship. He’s even spoken about going through a tough time before while he was playing Wave, to the point where he was considering leaving acting. But then again, you don’t need to know all of this to be a decent person towards another human being. You just need to have a functioning brain.
I’ve seen videos, tweets, and comments of people celebrating, wishing a “prettier” person for Perth, and just carrying on with the bullshit. What a heartless bunch you all are.
Chimon always puts on a smile and pushes through. He is always praised for his work ethics, his kindness, and for making the people around him feel comfortable and respected. He takes acting seriously and talks passionately about it. He is strong, and he will get through this and come back and shine. I just hope people online leave him alone. You got what you wanted; he is not in your precious BL shows.
There is a reason some actors shy away from BL. And newsflash, it has nothing to do with being paired with someone of the same gender.
