nothing hits quite like "I despised the very air you breathed until I was confronted with your humanity, complete vulnerability & it somehow touched my own, & oh, fuck- there's a permanent you-shaped crack in my heart now & the hands that wanted to throttle you are moving to protect you, all on their own."
What is already yours, you must take good care of it.

LOVE OUT LOUD FAN FEST 2024 : THE LOVE PIRATES ⚓
Hi! I was watching a show with Perth, and when I was going through the Tumblr tag, I ended up down a rabbit hole and I have pieces of the story but not clear how they fit together? Idk if you'll have an answer for me but doesn't hurt to ask right?
Do you know what's up with him? As in I saw a post referencing him having s hard time with the industry even though he's one of the stronger actors, and I know he's been here for a while, he had a supporting role in UWMA and his big role was opposite Saint?
But do you have any insight into his history?
So Perth’s “struggles in the industry” go all the way back to his first series Love By Chance. The two main controversies that emerged were 1: the break up of the PerthSaint ship, so that Love By Chance 2 was filmed without Saint; and 2: the rumor of homophobic bullying towards Saint and Cooheart on the Love By Chance set.
For number 1, this Reddit thread goes into a fair amount of detail about what fans’ had believed happened regarding the split, with a large focus on the behavior of Perth and Saint’s managers at the time. Now this narrative has shifted just in the past few months with Saint’s abandonment of Idol Factory after the controversy of unpaid staff and crew emerged, leaving his former manager and Idol Factory co-owner to deal with the fallout.
For number 2, this appears to have been a prominent and malevolent rumor spread amongst international fans.
These two major incidences really defined the start of Perth’s narrative in the industry for fans.
According to Wikipedia, he left his management AttractorTH in 2020, saying there were no hard feelings, and freelanced for a bit (during which time he was in a boy band that included Great Sapol and Gulf Kanawut????) before officially joining gmmtv in 2022, partnering with his close friend Chimon.
The PerthChimon era marks the second “struggle” period for Perth. Fans were disappointed by their series and cried “homophobia” over their perceived lack of chemistry, especially directed at Chimon (newsflash: on-screen chemistry isn’t a reflection of someone’s queerness). Chimon ended the partnership, citing mental health issues, and took a break from the industry. This also would’ve been around shortly after Perth’s close friends Ohm and Nanon were on the outs. Perth has discussed considering ending his acting career at this point (see link in next paragraph).
However, be it publicity or reality or some combination of the two, the narrative takes a turn when Perth pairs with Santa. Now the story goes that Santa brought Perth back from the brink of despair to color and smiles (although I personally enjoyed watching as the P10Liners publicity ended and both Perth and Santa got to start posting in black and whites on their instas again lol).
Hope this gives some context on Perth’s public narrative. I’d just urge we view these separate from his actual personal experiences, which we’ll just never know fully, and that’s good and healthy.
Unrelated side note: I still have a big fat crush on Perth 🫠

(of shows that I've watched/am watching at least)
+ Honorable Mention
The weirdest thing about fixed pairings is that when a pair no longer works together, it really does feel like a weird break up.
And watching older shows with that pair from before they split, feels like... idek. It just feels weird. Feels like I'm rifling through the shoe box of memories of that relationship.
