Two years ago, I had a Deaf girl show up in my drivethru on Halloween. Her mom was kind of sad when I tried to offer the girl candy, and you could tell itâd been a rough night. I asked her to get the girlâs attention, and then signed to her the way I learned from those top gifs. She started laughing and clapping her hands at once, and when I held out the bowl of candy she was DELIGHTED. I think thereâs a very serious possibility I was the only person all night who was able to share with her that way.

Yeah, I changed his suit and gave him his energy mace from the comics because I think the film stripped a lot of his gearâs personality. (I also gave him a much-needed helmetâŠ)

When the boys crossed through the doorway, the were instantly taken to a darkened room, with lights flashing, that was crowded. Music was playing loudly as the mass of people danced.
"Welcome to Lux!" Night tells the boys over the music, standing close to them to be heard.
"If you want, you can follow me to the bar for drinks or you can go straight out there to mingle and dance. If you follow me though, just keep up." She then disappears into the crowd.
Digger grabs a drink off some poor sap leaning against a railing. âIâm good, doll.â He downs the drink then goes to look for some fun company.
Blackguard hesitates as he looks around. He curses his awkwardness as he moves through the crowd trying to follow Night. âI could definitely use a drink..â
âOh.. sounds complicated.â He shrugs. âEveryoneâs a little messed up. Admitting it means you at least know what you gotta work on.â Blackguard stretches with a sigh while looking around. âFeels so good to be out of Belle Reve.â

"He was grateful that I saved his life and he's still very much alive in Star City. So, unfortunately you aren't going to meet him tonight but, if you want I could take you to meet him another time." She tells him, avoiding the question about why Blackguard's doppelganger wasn't with her.
She looks out at the city. "I'm glad you aren't the least bit disturbed by my bluntness."
âI mean not if you donât want to.. I guess things didnât go well if heâs not here so I wouldnât want to make things anymore awkward than they already are-?â Blackguard rubs the back of his head and smiles. âI know how it is to be blunt though mine is from stupidity.â
