ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves
back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore
if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??
don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM
so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!
this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together
and then in the end you put it together like this!!
and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy
EVERYONE START GETTING MORE USE OUT OF YOUR SPACE NOW!!!!

𧔠Iâve been tatting (frivolitĂ©) for a while now â itâs quiet, meditative, and surprisingly addictive.
A simple thread turns into lace. Knot by knot.
I know how hard it is to start when every diagram looks confusing and youâre not even sure which shuttle to buy.
So I put together a beginner-friendly guide â just what I wish I had when I started.
Itâs a PDF, with photos, slow steps, and a little project at the end.
If youâve ever wanted to try tatting, this might help.
No pressure â just sharing something I love.
You can find it here:
Welcome to the delicate and creative world of shuttle tatting! This beautifully designed eBook will guide you through the basic techniques o
Ok this is the post that put the "we should get into lace making" brainworm into my head so im going to thank/blame you for the fact I just bought a tatting shuttle and lace thread
Losing it a little over this rental I came across this morning that is for the most part a completely normal unit...

Most salamanders start their lives in water and grow up to live on land. Not the axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum)! This unique critter is a neotenic amphibian, meaning it retains most of its juvenile features into adulthoodâincluding frilly gills and dorsal fins. Whatâs more? The axolotl lives permanently in water, breathing primarily through its gills rather than its rudimentary lungs. Found only in Lake Xochimilco in the Valley of Mexico, this rare amphibian is threatened in the wild by pollution, overfishing, and other human activities.

10 years of crÚme brûlée brownies and wondering where it all went wrong
idk how youâre getting Content from âi fee like i dont know how to be a person properly and i dont know how or what to talk to my husband about almost everâ but sheâs now happily divorced so she was in fact Not Content
Scrolled through the reblogs and couldnât find anyone actually posting the recipe HERE, so I dug it up on the Wayback Machine. Behold! Kristanâs lost brownies recipe:
Créme Bruleé Brownies
Prep Time: 40 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes Total Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes Yield: 15 servings
Ingredients
Brownies:
1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, melted
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 TBS vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups flour
12 oz (ish) jar hot fudge sauce
Créme Bruleé Topping:
Πcup cornstarch
1 cup white sugar
6 Tablespoons butter, melted
3 Πcups half and half cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
Πcup granulated sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Line a 9x13 pan with foil and spray thoroughly with nonstick spray; set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa and melted butter. Stir in sugar until combined. Stir in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla. Fold in flour JUST until you no longer see flour streaks in the batter. Gently fold in hot fudge sauce.
Spread batter in prepared pan and bake for about 20 minutes, until raw batter no longer appears when a toothpick is inserted in the center. Remove from oven and place pan on a cooling rack.
Prepare topping: In a medium-sized heavy saucepan, whisk together cornstarch and sugar. Whisk in the melted butter and half and half. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is the consistency of a thick pudding. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour custard over the brownies, spreading to cover. Sprinkle surface with granulated sugar, then place under the broiler for several minutes until top is golden (may be dark brown is some spots). Alternately, a kitchen torch can be used.
Let brownies cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. Remove foil, cut into bars and serve.
Enjoy and have a great day!

The âPillar-biterâ (Dutch: pilaarbijter), 1509â1517 â a rare late-Gothic satire carved on the lower choir/rood screen of St. Bavo Church in Haarlem.
The figure grips the column framing him and literally bites into it, his face twisted into a grimace, while a rosary on his belt hints at the message: a warning against excessive, performative piety and hypocrisy, looking devout in public, but acting differently at home.
