I have worked with the Tarot deck for 10 years, and whilst now my primary divination tool is my own Oracle Deck I still have a great love for the tarot and it's multitude of uses. So I thought I'd share some of my thoughts on cards. I'll be using one of my favourite decks, the Marseille Tarot.
Today's card: The Hermit
All the appearance of a wise man, but isolation surrounds him. He has a lantern to see his way but also a stick to feel the ground beneath him. He is a man who has experienced so much doubt that he no longer trusts just his eyes to keep track of the path, just needs the stick too. Without trust however we can't move forward.
There is a certainty to repeating old patterns, we know the outcome because we've done this before. New adventures require new choices and the casting off of the lantern and the stick in place of faith. Maybe this is why we see the hermit moving to the left of the picture, left traditionally being the direction of the past.
What parts of your own life are isolation and fear driven decision dressed up as being decisions of 'wisdom'?

An incredible divination tool with no memorisation, no psychic powers, and absolutely no evil spirits. Welcome to the Oracle Deck.

Just set up this as a small record of my travels performing, telling jokes and reading minds. Looking forward to exploring!
