YERIN HA and LUKE THOMPSON photographed by Mei Tao for Netflix | February 2026
Season 4 Part 1 is out. I was so excited but I accidentally got hyperfixated on a new thing at the start of January. So now I'm torn between the rush of joy at the start of new interest and release of new content of an old one.
If I pause or switch between the two instead of letting it run its natural course, will it dilute my enjoyment?
That has happened before, I didn't want to go too hard or tire out a new song I liked but by going slow & mixing it with my normal stuff, it actually just made me lose interest.
I'm missing all the timely fun. But I'm so happy with the new interest! And so with that, I know I've decided to wait before watching Bridgerton, at least until my new interest isn't in my every thought. And also cos there's still a wait for part 2.
I'm ready to hear more of Luke speaking (broken) French.
Bring it on!
Kthx.
We got dates! Once again, it's time to decide. Do I take leave from work to watch??
I have so many thoughts and questions about this new scene.
Why are they passing each other on the stairs in opposite directions?
Is this before or after Benedict sees Sophie looking at the chandelier?
If it's before, do they have a brief moment before they continue past each other? And then he MUST find her again later? And so rather than him running away from other ladies in the other teaser, he's actually LOOKING for her?
If it's after he's already seen her in the ballroom... Why would he continue past her? I'm torn because I would love how impactful it would be if he was struck dumb in the first moment he saw her under the chandelier but that doesn't narratively fit with this moment on the stairs.
Another "hands touch" moment, squee! My heart. Where's one of them gif comparison across seasons?
We see THE SHOES. So triggering. And so sparkly.
And the glove on the floor! I guess that's an appropriately dramatic and visual way for Benedict to get the glove. Just like Cinderella's shoe. Rather than, oops I'm still holding her glove.
Oh lawdy.
I love this suspense and mulling over theories. Watch me get it all wrong and be happy anyway!
Lately, I hear certain songs on the radio or in stores and I imagine them as a benophie fan edit. When will they release the show so I can start making videos?
bridgerton social media au part 2 !! im out of ideas so this is it for now
If they use one of the new Sophie Baek promos with or without Benedict on the ebook, I will absolutely be buying a book because of its cover.
Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton & Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton in Bridgerton (2020—)
I am not hyper fixated on anything right now. No ear worms repeating in my head either. Also cancelled my Netflix account.
How do people live like this?
Ranking Cinderellas
I'm so excited for Bridgerton Season 4. As we know, it's based off a Cinderella trope. Turns out, I love me a Cinderella theme.
So let's rank all the Cinderella related things I've watched, from my favourite to least favourite.
1. Cinderella (1997) - Brandy and Whitney Houston. Gotta be at the top for me, based on total watch count. It has Victor Garber, my all-time favourite supporting actor. I love the score, I love the performances. Too many other great stars to list. I sing Impossible while I wash the dishes and mop the floor. 10/10.
2. Cinderella (2021) - Camila Cabello and Nicholas Galitzine. I love a juke box musical with modern songs. My favourite scene is the "whatta man/seven nation army" mashup. I don't understand why so many people didn't like it. Solid modern ending too. Hooray for stories where women as treated as friggen normal people with aspirations and desires.
3. Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (stage) - Technically it's the same as the Brandy one but the two versions are totally different so I'm ranking them separately. I love watching the Santino Fontana bootleg super cut on YouTube. I particularly like his version of "Me, Who Am I". Him and Laura Osnes have Disney voices. I also got to see it live in my city and it was such a joy. I suspend my disbelief for some of the problematic parts of the storyline heh.
4. An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn (book) - Ooft it was hard to rank this one. Depends if I'm in the mood for words or songs. Cos on a different day, this could be #2 on my list. I want a little bit more out of Book Benedict though so I'm looking forward to watching where the show will take it.
5. A Cinderella Story (2004) - Hilary Duff. Such a classic. Applies the Cinderella themes well. The diner, the cellphones, online romance, how the mains were so in tune with each other, the school dance. Again, so many big names, too many to name! Always gets a rewatch when I see it on the telly.
6. A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James (book) - Just read this the other day on my search for Cinderella themed stories. Still mulling over it. It wasn't an instant classic for me but it was an enjoyable Regency style story.
7. Disney's Cinderella (1950) - A cartoon classic, just like any other Disney movie.
8. Cinderella (2015) - I'm very shallow, I couldn't get over Lily James' eyebrows. Watched it once and can't remember it.
---
Give me the Cinderella story, insert characters from different franchises or give it a twist and I'll probably love it. Lol.
Any others I should check out?
There has to be a classical kpop cover in season 4, right?
I wonder which one
New season promos got me thinking bridgerton thoughts again.
I love how they've changed Sophie's name to suit the actress, as they've done with Kate and others.
However, the OCD data classification purist in me is annoyed because now there's 2 Tumblr tags and my old posts don't have the new name so the one tag won't be comprehensive anymore but who's going to back to retag old posts to fix this plus you don't want 2 different name tags for the same character on the one post and technically one surname could be for posts about the book character and the other name for the show character but how about when you're talking about the character overall so would you use one name with the alternate surname in brackets but that's not aesthetically good looking for a tag plus does Tumblr even allow bracket punctuation...
This is INSANE
THIS.
I'm ready for some glove action kthx
Oh lawd, they're just drip feeding me this goodness and I looove it!
She's just been saved from a horrendous situation and is worried he's going to recognise her.
He just wants to get home but is annoyed he's been brought up with morals and good manners, AND can't work out why she feels vaguely familiar.
He's sick, she's nervous, and they're both wet! *evil cackle*
The Gun-Li-Baek Household in Bridgerton S4
Katie Leung looks so fierce as Lady Araminta in the new promos. I love her already!
I'm so excited for this story!
Squeeeee!!!
I know they're normal people. And they are not their characters. But it's so hard not to search every word and comment and look for a hint of benophie.

Oh god. I don't have to imagine it anymore. It's real. It's coming.
I'm so ready for this.
