based off this latest chapter .. i like to think that the italies both have diff ideas as to what other people use to differentiate the two of them 🧐

for vene he maybe thinks their eyes are what is able to tell the difference vs roma who maybe thinks their curl is what is able to tell their difference <- all based off how they each decided to go about their ""disguises"" when pretending to be the other (i.e. vene being so to the death about his sunglasses not coming off [when he was with germany] + roma using clips to hide his own curl and making the effort to create one on the left side like his brother)

why do height differences in shipping always have to be about one being really tiny and the other being really tall. what about one being exactly a single inch taller than the other and the second being consistently angry about this.

WAHHH i have a whole document with all my notes on the fae au somewhere but i CAN'T. FIND. IT!!!!! it was on my old laptop and i swear i moved it over but :(

i wanna talk more about it but ugh.....

on the plus side, i have many many ita/cest things i've written and never shared that i'm finding. mostly self indulgent junk i was too embarrassed to post lol.

edit: ok 15 minutes later i found it WOOHOO it's 7k words of a mix of writing and notes i had in mind for the plot

lately i've been thinking about that strip in the manga where romano laments to spain about wanting to work

...but veneziano just offers to do things for him

it's just an interesting thing to consider in their dynamic. i'm having a little trouble pinning down romano's motivation here. but he mentioned it after being subtly rejected by a group of girls, so i'm assuming he wants to feel more competent? masculine?

it seems like veneziano just wants to help, unaware he's making romano feel like he isn't competent enough to do it on his own

or is it that romano is doing a bad job and that's veneziano's motivation to do it instead?

regardless, it seems romano wants more responsibilities to feel like he's good at things and capable of things and veneziano seems to get in the way of that through trying to help too much. vibes of a mother stunting their child's growth, perhaps?
