Hello. I'm Nina. Nina Pelekai. I teach Swim Courses and coach the swim team. Lily is my sister and means everything to me. Mess with her, you have to answer to me. Oh... I'm sorry for Stewart. And Stephen. For whatever they do.

Leon listened carefully and nodded, “I see. All very close then? Not just the children.”

"We are. Lily likes to call us one big ohana" Nina laughed a bit.

Leon nodded and ordered their dessert when their server came back. “So, what did you do in Hawaii as your sister got older?”

"Like job wise?" Nina paused, thinking, "I just worked from job to job. Whatever was open or seasonal really... Stewart's family stepped in and helped out a lot. There were around quite a bit. Still are."

He tapped a vanilla cake drizzled with chocolate, “How about that?”

"They sound pretty good" She chuckled, "So okay!"

"Vanilla," he gave her an easy smile.

"Then let's get something vanilla" She smiled, "So you can have some."

Leon shifted his chair around to study the menu with Nina. “What is your favorite kind of flavors?”

"Chocolate and Vanilla" She laughed, surprise to see him so close, "What about yours?"

Leon handed her the dessert menu with a small smile, “Whatever you like. I think it is all delicious.”

"Oh. Okay..." Nina looked down at the menu, biting her bottom lip as she tried to pick an item.

"You’re welcome. Would you like dessert?"

"Oh! Um... Sure" She smiled, "Dessert would be nice."

"It is," he nodded, "Did you enjoy it?"

"I did" She nodded, "Thank you for taking me. This was really nice."

Leon began eating, watching Nina occasionally before finally sitting back.

Nina sat back, smiling a bit at Leon, "Everything good?"

Leon smiled at her, studying her for a moment, glancing up when their food was delivered and murmuring his thanks.

Nina smiled and said thanks before digging into her food.

"At least she came to understand it. That’s what matters about that," he said with a small nod.

"It is..." She said quietly, smiling up at him after a few moments.

Leon blinked at the question that no one ever would think to ask. A small smile settled on his face and he nodded, “Yes, I do. In my own way… it’s something I’m good at.” He chuckled lightly, “Even if it seems like I’m being mean.”

Nina smiled, looking down at the table, "I know what you mean. Lily used to think I was being a mean sister but really it was just to protect her... Which she understood when she thought about it."

Leon let out a wry chuckle and nodded, “Whether I want to or not.”

"Do you like it?" She asked quietly.

"Alright," he acknowledged and caught their waitress’s attention so that they could order.

Nina waited till the waitress left with their order. "Are you... Do you usually take care of people?"

"Whatever you would like, Nina," he gave her a small smile.

"Then the pasta" Nina smiled softly at him.

Leon nodded and picked up his menu, “What would you like?”

"Just maybe the pasta" Nina said quietly, looking at her menu and thinking at what he said.

"Anyone else in here?" she called out as she walked into the pool area.

"I am" She smiled, "Can I help you?"
