Fic idea bro
So, Ushiten, childhood friends right? They get each other on a whole different level. Practically inseparable. It all started when Tendou found Ushijima sitting alone at recess. He walked over, and was strangely fascinated that Ushijima was left handed. Ushijima asked what was so special about it. And Tendou said it was cool because it made him weird and different, “like me!” He exclaimed proudly. Ushijima found himself not wanting to leave his side after that. Recess became sacred for them, they mainly stayed together in a little corner of the black top, but they made it work! Both were just bright eyed kids, and they were more than happy to be friends. Even after school they snuck into the woods for fun. Yeah, they really were best friends…
“Monster hunters?” Ushijima repeated.
“Mhm, our family comes from a long line of monster hunters, and you’ll become one too.”
Ushijima’s mother told him what he’ll learn once he turns 10, and he’ll start training in the art of killing monsters.
“But, you mustn’t tell anyone, not even your friends.” His mother told him
Ushijima nodded…
“You’re going to be a monster hunter?” Satori asked the next day. The 2 boys sitting on a rock in the woods, away from other people. Ushijima then explained with excitement that when he comes of age, he’ll get a special weapon that’s made to kill all monsters. He says it’s apart of the family’s legacy, and he’s expected to carry it out—Ushijima stopped his words when Tendou started crying. He tried to comfort his friend, and asked why he was crying. Tendou choked on a couple of tears, and asked Ushijima, “does that mean you’ll kill me?”
Ushijima was baffled, asking Tendou why he would even pose that question. Of course he wouldn’t kill Tendou, Tendou’s not a monster. But Tendou shook his head and said that he was, he was a monster, and if Ushijima was a monster hunter, that means Ushijima would try and kill him! Ushijima shook his head once more. He told Tendou that just because other kids call him a monster, dosen’t mean he’s an actual real life monster.
“But I am a monster!” Tendou repeated a bit more angrily, this time, fangs flashed in the mouth and his eyes shone red. Ushijima flinched and backed away. And only then Tendou realized he lost his cool, and started crying again. He apologized, he didn’t mean to scare Wakatoshi, he just—dosen’t want to be hunted. Especially not in the hands of his best friend. Ushijima didn’t do anything for a moment. Tendou with fangs was… a bit scary. But he still looked like Tendou, still talked like Tendou, this wasn’t a monster, this was Satori. Ushijima then went over to hug his friend
“You’re the only monster I’d refuse to hunt.” Ushijima said. And he meant it…
