She was picked on and bullied as a kid. I'll die on this hill despite there being zero canonical evidence :)
Remember the show mentioning her mom, who Lilah pays to be taken care of in a high-end facility? Lilah, accurately or otherwise, blames herself for her mom being there in the first place. These two always had quite a dysfunctional love/hate relationship, and it's one of several reasons why Lilah could never see herself as a parent
Lilah never knew who her father was, and her mother refused to tell her. She pretends she never even thinks about him, but Wesley knows otherwise
Lilah equates goodness with weakness and heartless cruelty with strength, and it's extremely unsettling to her that loving Wesley makes her start to reevaluate that
Lilah loves horror movies, old Hollywood noir, and any crime thrillers and mysteries that allow her to outsmart both the detective and the perpetrator
She's a total sapiosexual, which is one main reason for her attraction to Wesley, though certainly not the only one
The reason she was (as Cordelia noted) crying in Billy wasn't just the physical pain he inflicted - it was because even then she was starting to have mixed feelings about being an active promoter of such evil...deep, deep, DEEP down, she does have a conscience. Or something resembling one ;)
Lilah absolutely LOVES boardgames and any games that involve an element of strategy...as long as she wins!
Despite all her talk about loving the finer things in life, Lilah secretly prefers fast food fries and the milkshake-adjacent beverages they serve there to most of what she'll get at five-star restaurants
