the shining obv bc that is canonically his favorite movie. i think he’s very film bro about the cinematography and re-watches it often to the point that it may or may not be a regular part of his 20-step before bed routine. i view rin as not only very self-isolating but really introspective hence all his favs having a very ‘lonely’ vibe to them. and are all what i would consider psychological horror first (although there’s tons of guts and gore which is very rin). also i just think rin would like crazy women in horror.
