"All phasers (or PhasOrs), all different. One cannot have too many phasers. . The two black Maestros (PS1A and PS1B) are slightly different. The much scarcer PS1B revision on the right has a rate control. . The Shin-Ei Univibe is not usually thought of as a Phaser, but that's what it is. As is the Schaller Rotor Sound from Germany. These were all rotating speaker emulators, to begin with. . The big orange Schulte Compact Phasing A top left is the "krautrock" phaser. The Mu-Tron BiPhase is in the short lived violet colour. . The EH Polyphase and Roland Phase Five are envelope sensitive, so the phase effect varies according to pick attack, which is trippy and expressive. . Controllers - Univibe treadle and Schulte control box omitted for space reasons. The Maestro PS1B has the hard to find foot controller (these were originally designed for keyboard players and were positioned at that level - hence the coloured Lowry switches. The Mu-tron Opti-Pot allows for real time control of several parameters. . There is a notable omission, the MXR Phase 90 - I'm waiting for a Bud box at a less than extortionate price. Also I forgot my Boss Ph1-r, which is a worthy box, if a bit newer. The DOD Vibrothang is newish, but discontinued and in my view a classic."
