there is no audience to perform for, there is no approval, no admiration to attain. there is no role worth playing, there is no one to convince. let it go
I rly fuckin needed this
on september 11th 2001, two planes crashed into the world trade centre in new york city. It was a massacre. 3000 dead in a matter of 24 hours. the entire world was in shock of the atrocity, the brutal, diabolical murder of scores of innocents.
the american government reacted accordingly. a full investigation was launched to hold the culprits responsible – what nation could have sanctioned such a brutal attack on so many innocents? what kind of soulless country could, regardless of vendetta, allow such a heinous crime?
by 2002, the united states had their answer. the investigation was complete. A 600 page document known as the Congressional Report on 9/11 was released. approx 20 pages detailing the workings of the nation responsible were produced. The report was published.
Except the name of the country responsible for 9/11 was redacted in the report. blackened out with a sharpie. It would remain redacted for 14 years. The country in question? Saudi Arabia.
Instead of declaring to the world who was involved in orchestrating 9/11, the u.s. would hide this information for over a decade.
Instead, they would point fingers at Iraq, whilst knowing that iraq had nothing to do with the attack in the first place. They would orchestrate journalistic propaganda in the new york times about “weapons of mass destruction” – a narrative that had been proven false by their very own intelligence officers, a narrative that had been shot down by every journalist that had ever stepped foot in Niger (where the purported ingredients of mass destruction were coming from). Regardless, the New York Times would dutifully publish the perverted stories anyway. NYT editors would say “to not invade iraq is the bigger mistake”.
In 2003, the months of building up false stories in the media, propaganda in every mainstream newspaper, journal and t.v. show would pay off. The u.s. would invade iraq.
from 2003 - 2011 the country of iraq would be brutalized in ways never seen before by mankind. modern, 21st century warfare would decimate the very spirit of iraq. at least 460 000 innocent, iraqi civilians murdered in 8 years. entire generations were wiped out in less than a decade. we will never know their names.
waves of sexual violence committed upon “captured” cities ensued at the hands of american soldiers. many of the survivors, if not dead at the hands of their occupiers, would take their own lives. we will never know their names.
in 2011, the blood in iraq is finally dry. we’ve leeched all of it. we’ve procured the natural resources we came for – it’s time to head out. the so called WMD we came for were never found, they did not exist, they were never real to begin with. A far cry from how things got started, we start seeing articles about the falsehood of the iraq war. the same publishers who willingly handed out propaganda to the masses about WMD in Saddam’s hands are now saying “wait…we’ve made an error.” the narrative shifts. the occupation ends 3 years after a new commander in chief is granted the power to end it. in its wake we leave behind military bases and mercenaries that are ready to activate whenever called upon.
That same year, the u.s. supports various popular movements across the arab world. tens of regimes are flipped.
and in that same year, using the same weapons left behind by valiant american rapists and invaders, an army of another kind of mercenaries is born. they call themselves ISIL, then ISIS.
ISIS vows to cleanse the muslim world of shia muslims, minority sect muslims, christians, yezidis, Jewish people. ISIS also vows they are enemies of the u.s. America vows vice versa. Their feud is a celebrated one. ISIS, the evil nemesis of the Brave & Courageous America.
But then, 2012 happens. America, losing their influence and control over the levant, start funding ISIS factions. America starts funding Al-Qaeda factions.
The same NYT that once convinced us that Iraq had WMD is now INSISTING that these al-qaeda factions, that themselves claim to be brothers of al-qaeda, are moderate rebels simply looking for democracy and liberation. people believe it.
America’s proxies in the levant go on to destroy the region in unimaginable ways–and then, 2018 happens.
Iraqis & Iranians destroy ISIS. Indisputably, action from both nations led to the destruction of ISIS, now a paid member of the U.S. military. America, once using ISIS and AQ factions to regain control over the levant struggles to position themselves as the heroes – attempting pathetically to play both sides of the same coin. Again, the same way outlets like NYT backtracked their Iraq war propaganda, they start apologizing for identical mistakes in naming actual american funded terrorists as “freedom fighters.” another cycle ends.
ISIS is gone, but the real loss is America’s. They’ve lost the barbaric feudalistic control they once held in the region via ISIS and Al-Qaeda. Their terrorist assets have been reduced to ashes by a people they once themselves invaded from 2003 - 2011.
This brings us to today. The united states has assassinated Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s second in command. this is akin to another nation murdering the likes of mike pence, joe biden or dick cheney. it is an act of war. 4000 troops have been deployed to the Iraq-Iran region. It is an invasion.
And just as in 2003 the NYT & MSM justified the faulty invasion of iraq, and just as in 2012 the NYT & MSM justified the funding of ISIS & AQ factions, in 2020, a new propaganda will circulate to justify the illegal assassination of sovereign leaders.
New propaganda will circulate to justify a new era of bloodshed in Iraq & Iran and the rape and murder of innocents. New propaganda will vilify young, brown children as terrorists. New propaganda will circulate to return us to the year 2003.
There is nothing I can do within my capacity to help anyone. I am completely useless in saving any of the lives that will be taken in the next several years.
All I can do is ask that when you see a piece of information that attempts to justify the actions of the u.s. on foreign soil, in any foreign nation, that you reduce it to ashes. They lied to you in 2003, they did it again in 2011, they are doing it again in 2020.
Reject the lie. It’s all we can do.

More Things GCPD Officers Have Seen The Batfamily Doing

ª Watched Nightwing and Red Hood get into a fistfight and quoted Nightwing saying, “Out of all of us, you have the biggest daddy-issues!” To which Red Hood responded with, “Bitch I might have the biggest daddy-issues, but at least I didn’t fuck-off to another city because I was angry at him! I just fuckin’ died!”
ª Nightwing was very offended at the statements.
ª They continued to roll around until a young girl dressed in all black walked in and hit both of them on the neck, effectively knocking them out before turning to the first responding GCPD officers and going, “Sorry for the disturbance.”
ª She picked them up by their collars and drug them out of the building.
ª Saw Red Robin motioning to a poster-board he made (which to be honest, looked like he made it in five minutes) saying that crime was so ridiculous in Gotham, that everyone was an idiot to stay there.
ª It should be mentioned that he was extremely jittery, so everyone assumed he was on a caffeine-bender.
ª He paused five-minutes into his speech and downed two five-hour-energies, then kept on speaking.
ª He crashed on the floor ten seconds later.
ª Nightwing walked in, saw him, sighed and picked him up, apologizing to everyone for the show.
ª Watched Batgirl stand next to Batman and repeatedly ask, “What about now?” To which he kept grunting, “No.”
ª She kept on until he looked at her and asked, “If I give you the keys will you go away?” “Is that what you want?” “Yes.” “Then yes I will.”
ª He gave her the keys.
ª Batgirl was seen two minutes later joyriding in the Batmobile.
ª It was the first time they’d ever seen Batman put his head in his hands and groan.
ª Saw Nightwing and Batgirl do the Cupid Shuffle before Red Hood and Red Robin jumped in and changed it to ‘Crank That’.
ª They even got a few GCPD officers to join in.
ª After that they did the Cha-Cha slide.
ª Watched Red Hood sing ‘Waiting For Superman’ at the top of his lungs until Superman arrived.
ª Red Hood proceeded to ask, ‘Yo Uncle Supes! Now that you’re in Gotham…can you help me with something?”
ª Saw Red Robin look at Nightwing, wave his grapple and yell, “BAZINGA!” before hurling himself off a ledge.
ª Nightwing jumped after him screeching something about his grapple being the broken one from the cave.
ª Watched Red Hood walk into the evidence room, break the glass and take the katana collected from Talia al Ghul and walk back out.
ª He passed Sergeant Ernie on the way out, who pointed to the glass and yelled, “I just fixed that you ass! Come back here and fix it!”
ª Red Hood was seen an hour later replacing all the glass panes with sliding glass windows.
ª Ernie was satisfied at the fix.
ª But he still told RH to stay out of the evidence room.
ª Words were deleted from the former point for explicit language.
ª Saw Red Hood and Robin walk next to an open locker, only for RH to shove Robin in and lean against it.
ª After thirty minutes, Nightwing came in and told RH to move and let Robin out.
ª Red Hood responded with, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
ª Robin screamed obscene cuss words from inside the locker in response.
ª Again, GCPD was unsure what language he was screaming in.
ª But they’re still confident that it was Arabic.
ª RH proceeded to open the locker and go, “OMG! Robin?! When did you get in there?!”
ª GCPD’s SWAT team had to break up the fight between the three of them.
ª Watched Red Robin and Batgirl spit off a ledge and see who could make it farther.
ª They had to stop when someone below got spat on.
ª Neither of them could offer a sincere apology they were laughing so hard.
ª Gordon looked at them and said, “The next time you two hock-a-loogie on someone, I’m going to make you clean the bathrooms at GCPD.”
ª Saw Gordon look at Batman and go, “You’ve got a problem Batman.”
ª Batman merely sighed as he looked at his seven bickering kids and said, “I know…seven of them.”
ª Watched Batgirl and Red Hood get into an argument over which song was better, ‘1985’ or ‘Stacy’s Mom’.
ª The argument only ended when Batman walked past them and said, “You’re both wrong. ‘In Too Deep’ is the best.”
ª Both of them were too flabbergasted at the fact that Batman knew a Sum 41 song to respond.
ª Saw Red Robin attempt to strangle Robin after he asked RR, “Did your mother drop you on your head when you were a baby? Or have you always been this stupid?”
ª Nightwing tried to intervene, but threw his hands up and yelled, “Screw it! Fight it out! RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE!”
ª Watched Black Bat walk into GCPD and put a suspect in lock-up.
ª Honestly, everyone was too terrified to try and stop her.
ª A wise decision.
ª Saw Red Hood, Robin, and Batgirl hanging out the windows of the Batmobile bumping ‘Ridin Dirty’.
ª Batman was seen following yelling, “I’M NOT DOING THIS AGAIN! PULL. OVER.”
ª They did not.
ª They played ‘We Own It’ next.
ª Watched all of Batman’s kids stand on top of a building that had speakers wired on it, and sing ‘Gives You Hell’ at the top of their lungs.
ª Apparently, the gangs of Gotham joined in and it was recorded in the Guinness World Record as the largest spontaneous chorus.
ª Batman attempted to shut it down, but that plan went out the window.
ª They sang ‘High Hopes’ next.
ª Batman was actually impressed with that one.
ª But he groaned and still wished he didn’t have kids.

This is literally the last month you can reblog this joke
tl;dr my country is literally on fire and the politicians refuse to help
I know there’s a lot going on in the world, but you probably haven’t heard about what’s happening in Australia.
we’re on fire.
approximately ¼ of australia’s population is in catastrophic fire danger. A catastrophic fire level means your only chance of surviving is leaving before it’s too late.
it’s Spring in Australia, and rainforests aren’t meant to be dry enough to burn, yet at the time of writing this (11/11/19) there are 71 active fires in NSW (43 out of control), and 51 active fires in Queensland - not including those that have already burned before now, and there are more in other states. Sydney is already rated “catastrophic”, the first time this rating has ever been used there since its creation in 2009. That’s right, we had to add yet another level of destructiveness, because “high”, “very high”, “severe”, and “extreme” were no longer adequate. To quote the Fire Danger Ratings, “for your survival, leaving early is the only option”. conditions tomorrow will be the worst they have been, and people are evacuating as we speak. the fire fighters are preparing as best they can.
This isn’t just about people losing their homes; people have died and will die, countless animals have already lost their lives and many more will still perish. our land, our lives, and our hope is up in flames and will soon be nothing but ash. the annual fire season has not even begun yet. this is only the beginning. my native land is burning, and there is nothing i can do to stop it.
the government refuses to acknowledge that we are in a climate crisis. the fires have never been this bad. we have been in severe drought for more than a year which has only contributed to the force of these fires. the Prime Minister Scott Morrison has done nothing but send his “thoughts and prayers”. He will not accept aid from other countries because he is too egotistical to admit that we need it. All the while the people of this land are suffering. Climate change needs radical human change to be combated. we are already seeing the results of years of indifference, and this is barely the beginning of something that will only get worse the longer government’s and big companies refuse to act to counteract climate change.
Our government has also cut funding to Fire and Rescue NSW by 35.4%, the Rural Fire Service by 75.2%, and QLD Rural Fire Service by 26.42%, resulting in closures of services; they don’t have the resources to cope. We are fighting a losing battle against the results of climate change. and this is only the beginning.
12/11/19 UPDATE
At least 6 million people today are prepared for evacuating. There are strong winds, low humidity, and high temperatures which will only exacerbate and encourage the fires. Authorities have warned that there aren’t enough fire trucks to help everyone, so unless you are prepared to the maximum, you need to leave. 600 schools and TAFE’s across NSW have been closed due to the fires, with others in Queensland closing due to air quality being virtually unbreathable due to smoke. Rural Fire Service Deputy Commissioner Rob Rogers said the state was as prepared as it could be, with military aircraft on standby to rescue people from fires if needed. Smoke from these fires have reached as far as New Zealand and New Caledonia.
As Queensland and New South Wales deal with these unprecedented bushfires, there is a lot of talk about how to stop, or at least reduce them. David Bowman is a professor of environmental change biology at the University of Tasmania and he says the short answer is that climate change is making a bad situation worse.
But it’s also much more complex than that. Much of Australia’s natural biodiversity has evolved to withstand and even stop bushfires due to a multitude of species being in one area. Eucalyptus trees encourage fires as they help spread seeds, but other species are naturally flame retardant and help to curb the fires. The issue is that so much of the native bush has been cut down for farming and agriculture that the natural fire defence has virtually been destroyed. Australia is the leading country in mammal extinction, as well as one of the worst 7 for biodiversity loss.
There have already been significant harmful impacts to wildlife, with entire ecosystems up in smoke and individual species affected, including around 350 Koalas presumed dead – all before the fires have reached their peak.
my heart goes out to the victims of the current fires, which we know have been exacerbated by the decline of native biodiversity. Australian conservation efforts need a radical overhaul. Mitigating the intensity of these fires, mostly set by humans and their activities, can be achieved by restoring our native ecosystem engineers, such as bandicoots, bettongs and potoroos.
These species help to maintain healthy forests by continually turning over and breaking down forest leaf litter, thereby drastically reducing fuel load. In their absence, fires are more intense, often reaching the treetops, which can affect populations of species already on the brink, like the Koala.
Slow growing and ancient Australian East coast temperate forests are of global significance, as these forests have some of the highest carbon storage on the planet. Fires of this intensity threaten their very existence but managing wildlife to reduce fire intensity and protect forests is under-appreciated for its importance in reducing the release of carbon into the atmosphere.
