Aaaand here it is, my own Adventure Time fan-species I ended up basing on my AT-self-insert, they're called Lycrows (lycan and crow basically), they're just another addition to the weird and whacky wolves in the AT-verse I guess (fire wolves, why-wolves, hug wolves, etc). Yes they are open for people to make their own, but first more info on these guys so you can get to know them better:
Lycrows are an inhabitant of Ooo that are best described as half crow and half wolf. However they do possess a higher sentience and ability to shapeshift into a more human form, they're still fairly wild by nature. They're also nomadic, one group not staying in one place for very long, especially once food becomes scarce.
Lycrows are semi-feral and usually live in unorganized groups called Pack-Murders. On some occasions however, if a group has settled for a long time, an alpha will rise-usually the smartest or strongest of the group. Some have even gone so far as to establish kingdoms as a self-proclaimed 'king' or 'queen' of the Lycrows, but this isn't really the case, and often when more than one 'royal' confront each other, it normally devolves into ridiculous squabbling, sometimes resulting in both leaders losing their spot on top anyways.
While being part wolf, Lycrows have a strong craving for meat, and are almost exclusively carnivorous-however their crow-half also enables them to eat most anything else-such as carrion and garbage, though it's not exactly a healthy alternative. Lycrows also have a strong attraction to shiny objects, and have been known to collect and hoard caches of 'treasures', ranging from foil gum wrappers to gold and jewel valuables. It doesn't matter how worthless the sparkly item is, they'll still covet it no matter what. Because of their habit of digging through trash and stealing valuables (or junk), most other inhabitants of Ooo consider Lycrows an annoying pest, and will often try to chase them away.
Their range for language ranges from very basic and broken english, to some being able to mimic sounds and voices near-perfectly in any language. This ability is usually used to mock whoever they're currently pestering though, and has rarely been used for anything useful. They can also howl, squawk, and make horrible half-bark-half-caw noises that can go on for hours.
In terms of their pack-murders, though disorganized and having the occasional fight among members, Lycrows are still fiercely protective and care for each other deeply as a family. In fact, if one of their own is injured, it's not uncommon for the entire flock to seek revenge on the one who attacked one of their own. While they can be fairly skittish tricksters and scavengers, one should never underestimate their wrath or loyalty.
