Thank you for the darvey fic I just read the entire thing I love it so much!!!!!!!!!!!! The entire thing is so well written, the plot is amazing, the characters are written so well with characterization in mind and I love the way you write monsters SOOOOO much. !!!! Oh my gosh thank you so much!!! I really tried to write the monsters with a little more bite (ha) than the standard stereotypes, partially cause I love horror so much :) I'm hoping that the next chapter or so isn't too far in the horror direction for everyone lol It's not odd at all I'm stoked to get this ask fr! Donny grew up in Pine Bluff. His mom left Pelican Town because she hated the farm, but the more he grew the more he found himself there.

He moved to ZZC for a relationship that ended traumatically. He felt stuck there, unsure if he’d find a job outside the city that would pay as well (despite it being barely above average, with awful labor hours).

Emma Nolan has quickly skyrocketed to one of my favorite characters oat. strong and kind and gentle. soft-spoken and sweet but not one to give up or back down. sees people as people. the quiet way she's reassuring Dana, recognizing her distress and soothing it by silently saying "look, I'm okay, I'm alright. I've been through worse. I'm okay."

she is genuinely such a beautiful character. her moments with digby are some of my favorites of the season. digby is such a beautiful, well-written side character as well, the whole subplot fleshed out to make you care so deeply about this guy that we truly barely know.

"did you dance with your daughter at the wedding?" "..yeah." "then she'll remember you forever."

Digby has truly been the kindest soul all season. Him reassuring Emma— earnestly, sincerely— that she's doing a great job on her first day, speaking so softly and kindly, maintaining the same easiness and appreciation he's had all day, is the nicest thing to see. He deserves everything.
