watching maniac for the 7th time because i’m insane and deranged and desperate. i have found so many easter eggs and hidden gems and i find more every rewatch. this show has rooted itself into every crevice of my brain

on my 12th rewatch currently, and i’m STILL !! FINDING THINGS !!!

everytime i remember jed’s hamster was named Ernie i feel like im going insane. Ernie the hamster. Ernie who appears as an alien !! who Snorri feels responsible for killing, much like Owen felt responsible for killing Ernie the hamster by his hawk getting loose !! also Owen, who transformed into a hawk in episode 8 (in my opinion because he projected himself onto the hawk as a kid) !!

episode 1 in general has a ton of easter eggs for the rest of the show:

Annie looking through the boxes of giveaway items and throwing a rubrix cube behind her, which is picked up by Owen in the background. Popcorn Problems. Snorri Agarnsson’s Icelandic Fish restaurant (Snorri, Owen’s name in episode 9). so much more….

Also all the background characters you see in the first episode, you see on the later episodes !!

In episode 4, timestamp 11:08, Owen and Annie (now Linda and Bruce), there’s a child’s drawing of two elves (Annie and Ellie, which in episode 7 they are two elves, Annia and Ellia).

Not to mention Annie as Linda listens to the swing song that later becomes the dancing song in episode 5.

Calling that whole entire fucking Jamón Ibérico leg that goes for, according to the Costco website, $650 just "Costco ham" is the funniest thing I've ever fucking seen. They teach entire classes just on how to cut and serve one of these things correctly. It's some of the most expensive, top tier cured meat in the entire goddamn world, and if this is from Costco then it's also black label jamón ibérico de bellota which is the highest grade version. It can only be made in Spain or Portugal out of specific breed of pig(and for black label it has to be 100% purebreed, too) that is raised free-range and, during the last part of it's life, fed a diet exclusively of acorns. This is like calling a good cut of wagyu beef you got at the supermarket "Safeway steak" like. You're not WRONG but also HUH?????

Oooh great question! I’m still deep in the cosmere, despite not really making art this past year. I was able to finish reading stormlight (she is a good vorin man who prefers my reading to an audio book with months long wait list) to my twin @its2-40pm this year (minus WAT- we’re working on it) so here are some of her comments that I found funny:
