What is happening to Homestuck? [An Explanation of Current Events]

Alternate Title: Hiveswap is Dead

The past few months, the “Omegapause” if you will”, have been an odd time for Homestuck. For most, it has been quiet, or filled with Undertale. 

But for the few of us who still follow the WP team and their endeavors,it has been… a bad time.

Below the cut is as much info as I could hunt down and archive. 

TL;DR:  The New York WP team has been fired, Hiveswap is in a development schedule that is “similar to Half-Life 3″, and almost everyone involved in Homestuck has either disappeared from the internet, or fired with a NDA preventing them from ever discussing Hiveswap again.

Imagine karkat calling Dave cute nicknames and vein rly cute and cuddly and he's constantly just like "if u tell anyone about this I will kick ur ass I s2g" and Dave swears he won't tell but he'll secretly tell rose about it bc it's so fuckin CUTE and he just can't hold it in (and then rose tells everyone so now whenever karkat acts all grumpy and distant everyone just kinda smiles but doesn't say anything so they don't ruin it for Dave)

that’s fucking adorable? and yes dave would totally tell rose and everyone else’d find out and like, whenever karkat’s in a bad mood everyone else would leave bc they’d know that a srs cuddle session was needed and karkat wouldn’t even realise they knew bc he thinks it’s because he’s intimidatin when he’s angry when really he just looks like a sulky child
