Tapping a butter knife against her plate gently as Sadie leaned back in her seat in Lockwood’s dining hall, the girl seemed lost in thought. “I keep having this dream that I’m watching Duck Dynasty while Shia Labeouf roasts me over small fire,” she said, brown eyes flicking over the soggy fries that sat on her plate. She had been pushing them around for twenty minutes now, ketchup continuing to soak into them, “What do you think that means?”
Alexander looked up when he heard the source of the voice, remaining silent for a moment to process exactly what had just left her mouth. “Uhh..” he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly “I mean.. i don’t even know whats weirdest in that situation, the duck dynasty, shia labeouf or the being roasted over the fire part..” he chuckledÂ
Walking up to a randomly selected person in the most popular bar in town for Lockwood students, Frankie slung an arm around them and kissed them on the cheek. “Darling! Have I ever told you how much I love you? And that I would love you even more if you bought me a drink? I’m absolutely parched and way too sober.”
Alex honestly couldn’t tell you how he’d ended up at the bar. It wasn’t exactly something he’d planned on - however since he was here, he figured he’d indulge. Raising the glass to his lips he finished off the rest of his drink. when he first heard the woman speak, he wasn’t quite sure she was talking to him, after all he didn’t recognise her. He glanced behind him to confirm it was in fact him before turning back to her “uhh.. this is gonna sound ignorant but have we met?”

Alexs childhood was pretty great to begin with. His parents June & James were both musicians. They met while performing on the same lineup at a festival. Most of his childhood was spent on the road - heading from festival to festival - show to show.Â
When Alex was old enough to start attending school, things settled down. They stopped travelling and purchased an apartment in Brooklyn, New York. His father took up an office job and his mother became a stay at home mom.Â
His parents relationship began to crumble - they drifted apart. His father became a stern business man, rising through the ranks at the marketing company - arriving home later and later.. his mother became increasingly depressed. She avoided leaving the house, she barely spoke and to them Alex began to become background noise.Â
When Alex turned 16, he and his mother went out to celebrate by having breakfast at his favourite diner. She lingered in the car after they arrived, promising to meet Alex inside. Though she never did. All Alex remembers is hearing a shot ring out from behind him before realising his mother had committed suicide.
Things changed drastically after that. His father became stone cold and worked harder than ever. Soon enough he was the CEO of a marketing company. He pushed Alex into becoming his successor and even into attending the same university, as a legacy into his old fraternity.Â
Truth be told Alex isn’t quite sure what it is he wants to do.Â

Though Alex has a shitty past, he tries his hardest not to let it effect him. He hates sympathy more than anything in the world. So he smiles through it all.Â
He is extremely selfless, he’ll put others before himself at all costs - no matter if you’ve just met him. He values others before himself.
Though his childhood is quite bitter, he misses his mother a lot.Â
He basically raised himself so he’s good at being independent but part of him also craves companionship.Â
He can be super awkward and goofyÂ
He is extremely self loathing. He truly dislikes himself.Â
