It was really refreshing to see Okarun not argue or make any weird comments about it when Momo suggests it. Mouth-to-mouth respiration is an emergency procedure to save somebody's life, why does it only get equated to kissing in pop culture?

Exactly! Just as when he was talking with Momo after the alien abduction, there was absolutely no focus to her lack of clothes due to the assault (something I’m totally grateful).

I was expecting some lame cringe stuff that usually happens in anime like the boy suddenly looking at the girls chest and becoming flustered or something like that. I’m so tired of the bouncing boobs jokes or the moaning like yelps like… they are kids please :/ those things make me lose interest in the series at all.

Okarun didn’t behave weird or perv at all. He reacted as best as a teenager could do in such a situation. Momo was assaulted and he did what he could, handing her his own clothes to wear and avoiding looking at her in respect (and also awkwardness like he said lol).

And it’s reciprocal, this respect coming from Momo as well. This is something I really like both from the anime and manga. Of course there are some uncomfortable scenes but their interactions NEVER feel odd nor uncomfortable. The focus is never on what they are wearing but in the fight itself.

It’s the way how the situation is addressed rather the problems themselves what make the story more compelling.

And it’s sad as well, because these situations are something that must be addressed right, not sometimes but always.
