Today I lost Pi. I lost my sweet, three legged, nervous girl, who spent most of her life hiding under a blanket with her sister Cinder. But when Pi wasn’t, hiding, she could pose for one damned adorable photo! She is among the small handful of rats that I’ve had who made it past her third birthday and I was blessed to have her in my life for two solid years and 11 months!! It never seems long enough though and today my heart is broken. 😔💔 Both Pi and Cinder made me work extra, extra hard to earn their trust, but ultimately I am the only human they have ever trusted, and I will forever feel honored for that special role in their lives.
