Ok so here’s my idea of what the songs are about:
Has SERIOUS Kanye vibes and it’s so cut throat but is so simple at the same time like yeah you were once a HUGE part of my life and now it’s like....huh? Like I’ve been living my life and I forgot anything ever really happened in such a bad ass way. THIS is the song to play for someone who done you wrong and then you are better off without them and living your BEST life and not caring and being like oh yeah your still around I forgot.
So this narrative is amazing in how if she was a guy ppl wouldn’t judge her so badly and everything she did would be considered “ok” cause she would be a guy. Huge cut to sexism here I love it. She shouldn’t be judged because she’s a woman but yet guys do shit and get away with it. (He whole dramatic thing and writing bout break ups when GUYS do that to ahem drake)

Idk why but this gives me YBWM vibes of a couple in high school cause she sings bout a game on a field and a drumb band and HELLO . So she might be referencing the whole he’s shown to be a heartbreaker and she is shown to be a liar but neither of them care the rest of world doesn’t have to be involved. (Aka her relationship w joe) seems like she is using the whole highschool metaphor which makes sense
She doesn’t care bout fancy things at all she just wants to end up with someone who makes her happy doesn’t care bout money or anything at all. She’s marry him with all/ and or nothing which is like one of the truest forms of love
I think this one means if her and joe ever broke up she couldn’t ever go back to that place because at first she was the one leaving cause she didn’t wanna get her hopes up and have him leave her but he showed her real love and gave her a safe place away from the world. That’s where it all started and she never wants it to end because she finally found her home... speaking of
Heartbreak from still loving someone and it feels like you are getting all those cuts. The emotional pain physical mental pain all of it. And your even asking objects if it will get better just to have some hope for being healed. The remains of it all when it’s over and your trying to be ok and it’s just not believable yet. I’ve felt this before

I know this is bout her mom but I think it’s also bout being hurt or shaken up so much from something and you have to be ok and pretend to be ok. Like during rep when she had to be ok and go through all that shit but now she’s better and it’s self reassurance
Distance in a relationship like physically and you have faith it will work even if it possibly won’t and putting your faith into the relationship and person and praying it will work and using each other as faith
Knowing your the one that’s hurting the person you love unintentionally and praying and begging them to stay and apologizing and trying to be better for them. Knowing your mistake and owning them. Wanting to be better and hold on to each other despite your flaws
It’s nice to have a friend
Just being on your own and nice to have someone to talk to and share feelings with who may not totally get you but listens to you anyway.
After years of being in the dark and clouds and being hurt by so many ppl you find the one and it makes it all seem like a bad dream. You can finally see clearly a glowing love. Stepping into the light and knowing you found real love and leaving all the pain behind.
