went to the dentist today for the first time in like 5 years and it was so scary and exhausting but i did it. thankfully i got a good grade, she said my teeth were better than most people who come in every 6 months. bad news is they saw an unidentifiable shadow on the xrays right where im having intermittent pain so i have to go back on thursday to get more xrays done cause it could be “nothing” or it could be “root canal”. which isnt stressful at all

today was the worst mental health day ive had in a decade. like considering going to the ER for my own safety kind of bad. im fine now but man. i feel so sick to my stomach and exhausted from it all. and when i called out of work earlier my manager said id need a doctors note or else i forfeit my holiday pay from the weekend. like actually fuck all yall, a doctors note for a single day off is crazy

the good news is my persistent dizziness has finally disappeared (well its like 85% gone. still affects me if im doing tasks that have my eyes moving around a lot). the bad news is im now experiencing panic attacks for the first time in my life. it sucks

someone convince me to finally pull the plug and go to therapy for the acute health anxiety im dealing with. im dreading it and dont want to make the appointment but i know im not doing well

so ive had a total of 5 primary care visits and 1 urgent care visit AFTER my initial 2 weeks of being incredibly ill/2 urgent care visits/3ER visits , and still no answers. im now incredibly dizzy and unstable every day and can barely function/work/drive and its been 6 weeks since the onet of the flu. the best theyve offered me is a referral for vestibular therapy. not even a referral to a neurologist or ENT or any imaging. im suffering so much and nobody really gives a shit to try and figure it out. i dont know what else to do or say. work is breathing down my throat about my missing time and i now i have to beg my PCP to extend my leave when she initially only gave me 3 weeks because i “should be getting better”. if i cant get this sorted out in a timely fashion while being on such a drugged up cocktail just to function i might lose my job and my health insurance. im just at my wits end and feel like i cant do this anymore

feeling blessed that i do have some savings that i can dip into and that i have a HSA plan with my insurance so a lot will be paid off with that
