okay! so we all know maddie ghost has a crush on asgore in deltarune right? okay the dialogue in 1 chapter and 5 confuses me SO MUCH!!!
okay like she says, "By the way, say hi to your dad for me~! WAIT!! WAIT!! DON'T do that!!! He doesn't know I -- Nothing!!" I thought it was like, aww she has crush but he doesn't know her, right? OKAY, I know this is gonna sound crazy- cause well... i'm crazy for this ship BUT HERE ME OUT!! i think they both know each other, but not in a romantic way

When we go to her in chapter 5 at the blook house, she says, "Can't believe he's showing off MY... to EVERYONE ELSE!" This where I believe she stole the doll from alphys (like in undertale) and gave it to him. and like the way she word it, made it seem like she gave to him and didn't want no one else to see but him, its so confusing
The continuing dialogue said, "... she's MINE, you big laverbread munching hunk!" this also signifies that she still is crushing by calling him a hunk lol
and here is where i start to believe mads gave him the doll, (and knows she possesses from time to time) because when you go up the doll on asgore truck he goes, "Just a gift from a, sort of, friend of mine." If it was alphys, wouldn't he go, "its a gift from your teacher, alphys." RIGHT??? cause in chapter one, alphys says, "He... He always asks how you're doing in school..." so if it IS alphys, why is it sugar coated!!! we also know that she gave him comic books in the end of chapter 1 only to borrow lol, i wouldn't think she would let him have one of her collections 😭 EDIT: my friend said in this timeline, the doll could be a item that always belonged to mad ghost!! hmmmmmm??
just imagine in undertale how'd she react when her mew mew doll went missing LOLL
it's hard to tell how long back she was possessing the doll, and if she did really want any one else to see it, she (if she did) gave it asgore the doll, because, she probably knew he liked the anime or whatever. after her fight she says, "Ever since I saw Asgore's doll, I knew it was ME... I'd been possessing this body as a ghost since then-" this also had me wondering if he knows shes be possessing it, cause like its actually possible they are friends
PLUS, i believe she's really didn't want the body cause she couldn't really move or talk as the doll. As much as she wanted that to be her body she had no use for it really, (and now has a chance to in castle town) so she was like here asgore
Okay! now, in her shop, she talking about how Asgore seems happy in the dark world. She then says, "Me? I've... never been able to talk to him. For... obvious reasons." OKAY! Here's i thought, awww she doesn't want to talk to asgore because of her crush- NO! IT'S BECAUSE SHES FIGURING HERSELF OUT WITH HER NEW BODY!! And also it's ready for him to see her to see her new self before she's not ready. like she said "Everything... has been thanks to him." (she loves him aaaaaaaaaa) Plus if you go back to her shop, she says, "If you "seal the Fountain"... I won't stick around. I'll... need some time to my self, I think. But, I'll be meeting you again." I CANT WAIT TO SEE HER NEXT CHAPTER!
oh she also tells orange she'll be making sure Asgore is watering her probably heheheheh, still hinting that she still has a crush (she mentioned him so many time in her shop, she really loves that mad) and will be helping with the flowers eeeeee
too bad shes gonna freak tf out when she found out he's gone ;(
also i might be wrong on who gave the doll to asgore... it was papyrus
