Travel 2024 2/2

To make use of the remaining time of our visas, we decided to go to Paris and Amsterdam for my friend’s birthday. October falls in the Autumn season which is my favorite so far so I was really excited to see how it would look like outside London. :)

Also both cities are included on my bucket list. I remember when I first joined tumblr, I would always reblog pictures and thought will I ever get to explore them? And now it finally happened :’) It felt so unreal, like I was floating on air.

This is also one of the rare travels that I get to enjoy every moment because I’m not actually sick!! Lagi na lang akong may sakit! But this time talagang ninamnam ko kada minuto. :)

PARIS

I heard so many bad stories about Paris and that some don’t want to go back. But after this trip, I proved that they were wrong. It is not perfect and some of the rumors are true but it actually kinda depends on how you look at it. To those who said na mukha lang siyang London na nilagyan ng Eifell tower, probably didn’t appreciate it’s beauty. The art, the aesthetic, the fashion, the food are chef’s kiss!! I was able to enjoy every little detail. Tapos yung feeling na ginagawa mo lang wallpaper, necklace, damit yung eifell tower pero nasa harapan mo na - sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam. Hindi siya piece of metal lang, I swear it looks so much better in person - especially at night when it sparkles! Oh I can’t wait to go back!

Amsterdam

We took a 6-hour bus ride from Paris since we are not in a hurry, and very cheap! Soooo, the most bikeable city in the world didn’t actualy disappoint. We decided to rent bicycles to go around the city for 2 days! Kahit labag na labag sa kalooban ko since sobrang pagod na ko that time at ang sakit na ng hita ko. I actually asked the reception ng hotel if pwede ko irefund yung bayad sa bike but unfortunately the manager wasn’t there. So pinanindigan ko hanggang day 2 where we explored some of the beautiful canals. I didn’t regret it actually, because the roads were mostly flat tsaka parang mas right of way pa yung bikers kesa sa sasakyan tsaka pedestrians lol! Idk about this city but every corner is very dreamy! Maybe the autumn vibes added to it’s aesthetic as well. Sobrang ganda! We also spent the halloween here, and dressed up as 3 blind mice, went to a bar where there was a comedy night/drag show which was really fun! Didn’t get to explore the “coffee shops” though. :’) There was so much more to do as there were a lot of museums and other spots but there were so little time! Next time, I would really love to visit the tulips during the Spring as yun talaga ang inimagine kong Amsterdam. Should I move here?

Travel 2024 1/2

Hi, I’m still alive. :) The last time I posted was our trip to Türkiye and how beautiful and memorable that was. Except for our flight back to London being canceled by WizzAir, had to rebook another flight, stayed at the lounge, and literally slept at the airport for 6 hours. First time kong matulog sa airport honestly, buti na lang maganda ang Istanbul airport. Anyway we still had a great time!!

Spain

My friends initially planned to go to Italy for the rest of the summer as one of them will also celebrate his birthday on the same week as me. With a PH passport, we needed visas for us to travel so antay antay ng appointment. Some of us ended up getting a spanish visa instead since we weren’t able to secure for italy. Sooo we separated ways.. 4 of us decided to go to Palma de Mallorca; it’s an island situated in western mediterranean. Sobrang ganda. Much better if there’s a licensed driver to rent a car for you to explore the island more since some of the spots are not reachable by public transport. We were able to explore the Palma town, Valdemossa, Cala Deia, and Port de Soller. But food can be pricey though! Idk maybe we just didn’t research well where to eat cheap.

Madrid resembles a lot like London but i really think it’s prettier ngl :D It was an easy commute with the bus and metro as well. I love it when a city has easy access to public transportation, it makes the experience much better. Spanish food is also similar with Filipino but doesn’t serve rice. There were tapas which are small portions of each type of food, which are actually tasty. We went to a restaurant where they serve authentic paella, but we didn’t have a reservation, luckily there was a filipina server who offered us seats outside which we didn’t complain. The only complain I had was I didn’t enjoy the food because I was feeling under the weather since we were in Palma; lost my voice the 2nd day, had fever, blocked nose and dry cough. The only time I felt kinda okay was the day before our flight back to london. :’D However, I generally enjoyed our holiday, especially because I was with my guy best friends who made sure I was alright the whole time. Would definitely go back to explore more of the island, and hopefully get to explore Madrid’s night life as well. :)
