His lips twitch upwards slightly when he hears her voice. Lucifer shifts his weight slightly, arms folded over his chest. He missed the gentleness in her voice. He missed her too, but he’d never admit that. “Hello, Mother. Yes it has.” He shifts his red eyes to watch her movements, he drops his arms from their folded position and smiles slightly. “I forgot how beautiful it was.”

She nods, “Yes, I thought you might have.” She’s still looking forward at the sun as it rises and bathes the ground before them in golden light. As it hits her, she seems to glow, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath in and as she exhales she seems to breathe life into everything around them. “So,” she starts, opening her eyes and turning to him, “What nastiness do you have up your sleeve this time, my dearest son?”

Miczariel murmurs, glancing toward the ground, “of a greater evil returning again. A man who wishes harm against my human… against our son,”

Miczariel’s mind drifts to her Zoe, to the newest addition of their very small family, and toward her half-brother.. the cause of all of this, of all Mic’s new fears.

Mic has never been afraid before, but she is now.

“Please, if something happens to them.. to my human, to my son.. don’t send me back,” Mic pleads, “let me stay here, let me stay in my host body.. let me fight him for as long as I can.”

The Almighty looks a little surprised, “You do not ask for my protection? You do not wish for me to keep them from all harm?” 

She thinks for a moment, contemplating the demoness before her. Then she smiles slowly, surprises abound today. A demon in love, a simple request. “My dearest, what will be, will be. If any harm shall befall your human or your son, I will take no action against you. 

"What you do with your life, this wonderful life you’ve built for yourself, is your choice. I wouldn’t dream of interfering.”

Miczariel wrings her hands together nervously, but she follows- obedient. That’s a first.

God is, practically, Miczariel’s grandparent. It’s a weird thing to think about, something Mic can’t quite wrap her head around.

“I’m sure you know that father.. locked me away for some time,” Mic says slowly, referring to Lucifer, “because of my, uh.. well, temper tantrum doesn’t sound right. My ‘massacre of my brother and sister souls’ sounds better.” Miczariel offers a hesitant smile.

“But.. a human summoned me. I mean, it was an accident…. But she helped me.” Mic glances at the ground. “I love her. I don’t want to have to go back to Hell, I don’t want to leave her.”

“Humans are good at that.” She says with a little chuckle. 

God listens as the demoness speaks, She does not interject but smiles all the while. 

“A demon finding love in a human,” she says finally, sighing happily, “I call that progress.” She stops walking and turns to look at Miczariel. “What would you have me do to prevent this?”

The demoness admits this easily. She’s not necessarily an easy thing to trust, nor has she been trusted in the past…

“You’ve no reason to trust me now. But I’m different, I’ve changed.” Miczariel clasps her hands together, pleading almost.

God could have laughed. 

But instead she smiles gently and turns, heading down the path before her, “Come, walk with me.” she says lightly, “Tell me, demon, how have you changed?”

Sam barely refrains from rolling her eyes at the response. GOD, she reminds herself, not that extremely powerful entities have ever really frightened her. Her and her brother had killed their fair share, and she can’t help but remember that even Death talked of REAPING God one day. Still, this is all rather different considering the faith Sam has always had, her reverence for God and prayer and the angels… until she met them, of course.

“Take it from someone who’s well-acquainted with having an absent parent—that excuse doesn’t really cut it. Children need their parents to be PARENTS. You can’t just take a vacation from that.”

“Are you giving Me parenting advice, Sam Winchester?” she asks with a coy little smile. It’s amusing, the mortals are always so amusing. 

“Tell Me, Sam.” She begins, tilting Her head to the side. “If you were in My shoes, even for a day, what would you do? I’m curious.” And she was. Perhaps the smarter Winchester would be able to figure a way out of Her little problem.
