Tom Hiddleston as Dr. Robert Laing in New Still for High Rise
Not Who You Seem To Be RP [[cont.Tes. the-half-asgardian]]
Tesia laughed at his comment about what she said regarding déjà vu and she nodded in agreement.
She watched the scenery pass by, smiling excitedly but she looked at Tom as he addressed her. “That sounds like s perfect idea! I’m really quite excited! I haven’t been shopping for Midgardian clothes since I was 18!” She hadn’t needed to after that, because after Tesia had been raped, she and her mother had gone back to Asgard.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Wow! It’s been quite some time hasnt it then? Well, be prepared for quite the adventure today! I’m sure things will be a bit different since the last time you shopped for clothing here.” After a few more minutes of driving they finally made it downtown and they eventually found a suitable parking space.
Tom killed the engine and got out of the car to pay the meter and once everything was settled him and Tesia headed down the street on foot. There were many shops on either side of the street. Many were men and womens department stores, others were second hand shops that were actually pretty neat as they werent run down at all. There were a few antique shops as well, and even a small independently owned bookshop.
“Remember, if you see anything that peaks your interest, please let me know and we’ll stop by, okay?” He reminded her.
Not Who You Seem To Be RP [[cont.Tes. the-half-asgardian]]
Tesia glanced up again to hear his reply but instead she was met with an almost glazed over expression. She was quite confused and she watched Tom closely as he seemed to be recalling something, but what she didn’t know.
But before she could ask if he was alright he seemed to snap out of it and then he was back to his old self. She smiled as he said he would drive and she nodded eagerly. “That sounds fantastic!” She said excitedly.
She paused for a moment before asking gently “Are you alright Tom? You seemed to have drifted off somewhere far away for a moment…”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
He began walking down the porch steps and towards the side of the house to the car when Tesia stopped him in his tracks when she asked him he had felt alright. He smiled reassuringly at her and clicked the button on his keys to unlock the doors to his car. “Yeah, I’m just fine. I just was hit with Deja Vu for a second there. No need to worry though, it happens every now and then.” He chuckled lightly and opened the passenger door for Tesia.
Tesia was rather intrigued by what he told her. Deja Vu? By something she had done? She wanted to know more but only if he was willing to share it.
She smiled and went around to the passenger side as he opened it for her and she smiled wider as she said “Thank you Tom! You’re so sweet!” She complimented before climbing into the car.
She waited until he got in as well before asking “Tom? Might I ask what I did that made you experience what you did?”
As soon as Tom climbed into the car he turned it on and buckled himself in. He began to pull out of the driveway when Tesia asked him why he had Deja Vu.
Chuckling lightly, he shrugged his shoulders. “I dont know. I uh…I dont think it was anything you did.” It wasnt exactly a lie, but it also wasnt exactly the truth either. The way she had blushed and ducked her head most certainly triggered something, but that sort of thing happens a lot with many other people. “I dont know why it happened. It just did…I uh..It was certainly weird though.” He laughed again and glanced over at her. “Although Deja Vu is always a bit weird.”
Tesia listened closely to what Tom said- well, tried to say- about his experience just now and she couldn’t help but giggle as he stumbled over the right words to use.
“It’s alright Tom, really. I understand how complex Deja Vu can be… And how disorienting sometimes too!”
She smiled as she watched the road in front of her, fiddling with her locket before saying “So, tell me what you have in mind for me today!”
“Thats certainly an understatement.” He pulled out onto the main road and headed towards downtown which was about a twenty minute or so drive away. At her question Tom hummed, mulling over his answer.
“I’m not sure yet. But there are plenty of shops downtown. So I think as soon as we find a parking space down there we will go walk around and if any shop peaks your interest then just let me know and we will go check it out.” He smiled over at her before refocusing his attention onto the road.

Tesia smiled happily at that before sighing with relief. “Thank you again Tom, truly. I promise to make it up to you somehow. I know you said not to but I want to.”
She finished up her breakfast too before nodding. “Yes, you go shower and I’ll wash the dishes while you do and then I’ll go find something suitable to go out in public in. Maybe we can buy some sewing materials while we are out so I can mend my gown?”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Nodding his head, Tom smiled. “Of course! We can certainly do that.” With that being said, Tom grabbed the towel that had been resting on the back of the couch and headed back to the bathroom to shower. Not wanting to waste any time, he showered quickly and shut off the water. He wrapped the towel around his waist and headed into his room to change.
“You ready to go Tesia?!” Tom called out as he headed back down into the living room. “If I remember correctly your shoes should be around here somewhere…” He pulled on a pair of socks and walked over to the door to grab his boots.
Tesia quickly washed the few dishes and set them in the drying rack to dry before heading up to her room to change. She thumbed through the clothes in the closet before settling on a loose fitting dark blue shirt and a pair of jeans. They were a slender cut so it wasn’t too obvious that they were men’s jeans. But she would need to buy some underwear and bras. She only had the one pair of underwear she wore but no bra since her gown had one built in.
“Yes Tom, I’m ready!” She called out to him before hurrying downstairs. And sure enough she found her shoes at the foot of the stairs. She slipped them on before saying “I’ll need some shoes as well as some undergarments if that’s alright Tom?” She asked, wanting to be sure since it was his money she’d be using.
When he heard her call out to him, letting him know that she was ready, he turned around to see her bounding down the stairs. He chuckled lightly to himself as he saw her in an old pair of jeans he used to wear and a loose shirt. Adorable indeed..
“That is perfectly fine by me.” Tom smiled and grabbed his coat from the coat rack by the door and his car keys. “We will get you anything that you may need. Here, take the coat. It’s not stormy out but its definitely cold.” He told her, handing her his coat before opening the front door and stepping outside.
Tesia smiled happily as he said they could get whatever she needed. She took the coat he handed her and pulled it on as she said softly “Thank you Tom, really. I greatly appreciate it.”
She licked her lips slightly, a little nervous before she asked “D-do I look alright? For going out in public I mean…” She asked shyly as she followed him outside.
Tom turned around and look at Tesia when she asked him how she looked. She looked shy, nervous perhaps. But he smiled again at her. “You look absolutely fine, Tes. You look good in my clothing, I must admit.” He chuckled. “Though I’m sure you’ll feel more comfortable in clothing that you can call your own.”
Tesia blushed prettily at his compliment as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Thank you Tom. And yes, I’m sure I will.” His smile made her stomach flutter softly and she dipped her head shyly before she looked up at him and asked “So, how will we get to where we want to go to shop?”
His smile only widened when he saw her blush at his compliment. She had ducked her head a bit shyly and Tom was suddenly struck with a serious feeling of deja vu. But it was more so than that because he had a sudden vision of Tesia standing before him doing the same exact thing, smiling shyly, blushing and ducking her head. Except this time she was wearing a gown, a much different one than the one she had fallen to earth with and her hair was done up in a very intricate bun and she looked absolutely beautiful.
It was like a memory of some kind. That’s what it had felt like. But how could that have been? It was impossible. He had never met this woman before in his life before yesterday morning.
Tom shook his head to rid himself of the weird feeling and the haze that had come over his eyes for that brief moment. It was then he remembered her asking him something and it took him a moment to recall what exactly it was. “Oh! Uhm, well I’m going drive of course!”

"Hey, hey, hey, hush, I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm just gonna keep you for myself."
"_____, enough. You aren't escaping again. I made sure of it."
"I REALLY don't want to punish you, but if you don't stop, I will."
"Little one, I know you're confused, but I'M going to be your Mommy/Daddy now."
"Shut up! Bad pet, get back in your cage!"
"Stop screaming, nobody can hear you but me and the ghosts anyways."
"Hmph. You're a fighter. Good, I'll enjoy breaking you."
"Here's the deal. I. Own. You."
"I'm gonna make your screams echo, baby."
"Welcome to your new home."
"You'll get used to the handcuffs sooner or later."
"I know you're scared, but I won't hurt you. I love you!"
"I'm going to count to five, give you a headstart. You have until sunset to escape."
"Go on, keep begging."
"If you give in, it'll be easier."
"If you bite me, I'll muzzle you, pet."
"This is going to be a nice weekend, for me, at least. I hope your gag isn't too tight."
"You're so cute, struggling like that."
"You don't need to cry. It's not like your life was going anywhere before me."
"I'm going to give you purpose, to serve me as I deserve."

Ok but why do men always talk to you like they’re trying to teach you something?
i learned about this in my comm theory class!!!
basically when men speak they tend to prove status/higher intelligence but when women speak we tend to seek connections! so like for example: when asking questions- women ask questions to know more about their conversation partner, while men see asking questions as showing no knowledge on the topic. So a man would rather talk about something that makes him more comfortable and makes him seem smarter rather than something that makes him look inferior.
ALSO!!! when women are communicating with each other, we often have cooperative/positive “interruptions” like asking questions or saying “oh yeah thats happened to me” or “i know how you feel” to show interest in the conversation/build a connection, but men see these kinds of “interruptions” as hijacking the conversation/making them lose their “status”
Cast enough illusions and you risk forgetting what is real.
First Meeting / Icebreakers
“Hi, I’m ______.”
“Oh fuck! Are you okay?”
“Crap! Sorry about that! Wasn’t looking where I was going. Here, I’ll get you a new jacket…”
“Need a ride?”
“How are you?”
“Seems like we’re gonna be stuck on this train for an extra three hours.”
“What’s your name?”
“Thank you.”
“You just saved my life!”
“Move the fuck out of my way.”
“Watch where you’re going!”
“Asshole.”
“Would you like anything?”
“You’re gorgeous.”
“Do I know you?”
“Uh, that’s my spot.”
“Oh, God, sorry! Let me buy you a new one.”
“Is that your dog? He is so CUTE!”
“Here, take my seat. You look tired.”
“Checking in?”
“Can I sit here?”
“May I buy you a drink?”
“I can spot you, if you want.”
“How’d you even get stuck in a locker, anyway?”
“Can you turn it down?! Some of us are trying to sleep!”
“Hi, I’m your new roommate.”
“I think I found your dog. Is he yours?”
“You look cold, take my jacket.”
“Hey, I think the mailman gave me your mail by mistake? [Name], right?”
“You’ve had a guy/girl over every night this week! And you’re really loud! You know how I know? I know because I live below you!”
“So, your kid apparently punched my kid in the face.”
“Bride or groom?”
“Can you switch seats with me? I can’t see!”
“Okay, look, if you’re gonna be airsick, aim the other way.”
“[Sir/Ma'am], if you don’t stop being rude to me, I’m going to give you decaf.”
“Don’t drink that! I saw some guy slip something in there.”
“Hey, is he bothering you?”
“Don’t give up your day job.”
“…Dude, your fly’s down.”
“I think you have the wrong number.”
“I’m [muse’s child]’s teacher.”
“[Muse’s child/younger sibling] was in my yard again!”
“Get out of here! This is my hiding spot!”
“YOUR STUPID MUTT RIPPED UP MY YARD AGAIN!”
“SHUT UP. And learn to stay on key.”
“Good Evening/Afternoon/Morning/Day/Night.”
“Watch where you’re going!”
“Is this seat taken?”
“Here you dropped this.”
“You remind me of someone.”
“Will you be taking this?”
“May I take your order?”
“How are you?”
“You look familiar, have we met before?”
“Be careful next time.”
“Hey, could you help me?”
“Help me!”
“I’m so sorry!”
“Are you alright?!”
“I know we’ve never met, but I think you’re beautiful.”
“I think I may have seen you before…”
“Hey! Watch it!”
“Oh my god are you okay?”
“Have we met…?”
“Were you at that one party?”
“Remember me?”
“I know you don’t know me but I love your shirt.”
“Quick, pretend to look like you’re talking to me.”
“Hey, is that your dog?”
“Service takes forever here.”
“Don’t mean to sound cliche, but do you come here often?”
“I wouldn’t sit there if I were you.”
“This is gonna be a long plane ride.”
“Can you turn that music down?”
“People are trying to sleep!”
“I’m your new neighbour.”
“Is that who I think it is?”
“Be quiet!”
“Is that your son/daughter?”
“I’ve read about you."

Tesia breathed a sigh of relief at Tom’s words before nodding softly as she said “Thank you Tom… Really it means a lot to me.” She smiled back at him and her eyes fell to his lips…. That smile…. So like Loki’s… And his voice…. No, she couldn’t think of that. She had promised Loki she would try and move on, but that was proving quite hard.
“So… What do you think we should do? Or how should we start? If the Bifrost has been destroyed then it might be quite a long time before its fixed. When Loki fell from the Bifrost it took a year to fix it…” She asked softly as she took another bite of her breakfast.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Taking another bite of his food, Tom hummed as he thought over her question. He wasnt sure where to start either. How in the hell were they to figure out what was going on if they didnt have a connection to Asgard? There wasnt really anything they could do until the Bifrost was repaired.
“Well, if that is the case then we wait until the Bifrost is repaired. Of course we probably wont ever know when that will be unless we test it out. In the meantime I think our first order of business will be to go shopping! You are going to need some clothing of your own, unless you enjoy wearing mine.” He chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
Tesia nodded softly as she listened before saying “You’ve got a point there… I suppose we’ll just have to play that part by ear then. As for clothing, I do very much like wearing your clothing but I do think some clothing of my own would be quite nice too!” She said with a smile.
She took another bite of her breakfast before saying “Thank you again for all this Tom. If ever I can thank you, just tell me what I can do. Because honestly you didn’t have to do all this yet you did anyways. I’ve turned your world upside down, made you question things you thought you knew and still you choose to help me.”
Tom chuckled again when she said that she quite enjoyed wearing his clothing. He didnt mind it either. In fact, he rather thought she looked adorable in his clothing.
“There’s no need to prove your gratitude towards me. I know how grateful you are. Besides, I enjoy helping people in any way that I can. Seeing you and your mother reunited yesterday…It was an amazing feeling knowing that I had caused that.”
Tesia smiled brightly at Tom’s words before saying happily “Well then I’m glad for that then! But if you are sure there’s nothing I can do?” She smiled warmly at Tom before she blushed prettily.
“Tom? How will I pay for my clothing? I don’t have any money…” She asked shyly. She didn’t want to be a burden to him in anyway and truth be told, she felt a bit guilty using his money for herself.
“Oh you dont have to worry about that! I will pay for it of course. I dont you dont have any money of your own. It’ll be just fine.” He smiled at her and finished up his breakfast.
“Which reminds me actually. I should probably go take my shower and then perhaps we could get ready to go?”
