Creating a new product, Unity

Unity is an application made specifically to help women feel more secure through personal safety with an application. My team was tasked with identifying a specific problem space and as a group of those who present as women, we found this to not only be a true problem that currently exists, but also a problem we face on an everyday basis. 

We conducted user research to develop a new product and reiterate that product to be more finalized with a semi-functional prototype.

Redesigning a Responsive Site, AdvoCat

My team, Axolotls Research, was tasked with redesigning AdvoCat, a local cat rescue organization in Queens, NY, to be more responsive while also still resolving any usability issues for the primary user. We wanted to not only help the primary user, but by taking on this challenge we would be able to help these cats find a loving home.  

We split the project into three parts, conducting research, accessing the current usability, and finalizing the new product design through Figma.

Usability and Functionality of Muji

The goal of the project was to create a heuristic evaluation of three different landing pages of the website Muji. These pages should be the primary ones users will interact with the most. For the project specifically, I have studied the homepage, different product result pages, and lastly the specific product pages themselves. These are the three most common pages for users wishing to purchase a product and therefor the ones that need an evaluation the most. 

Along with the heuristic evaluation is the information architect of the existing site. The goal was to learn the users expectation and create a better navigational system that is intuitive and easy to understand.
