Warren knew he was being far too chill considering what was happening, but he decided that he wouldnât mess with it. His mutant abilities were at their most organic when he was relaxed and he never did deal with stress well, not to say he wasnât dealing with it all in his own way now between the whiskey and the trash tv.
âcovered in ice huh? told ya you sucked with the controlling your powers stuff, robert.â Warren teased. He liked fucking with his friend. Knowing full well the lack of control was a soft spot for Bobby.
âI woke up slightly less rich than I was the night beforeâ he shrugged âbut thatâs the stock market for yaâ he tried to make a crappy joke, but deep down he knew the shift would eventually get to him. Choosing to ignore Bobby making himself at home and helping himself to Warrenâs whiskey, he headed toward the couch, hoping his friend wasnât here asking for much more.
There was no way Warren wasnât going to let Bobbyâs words go to his head. It had been a hot minute since anybody had paid him a compliment and that was far too long, he also appreciated anybody saying something nice when he was as ballsy with his wings like this.Â
âI was certainly more twinky in 2012âŠ.but the wings sure help with the greek god look, bobby.â
Bobby always (though he wouldnât admit it) a little jealous of the generational wealth that Warren comes from. âWell, if you happen to need someone to take that money off your hands, I can send you my bank information.â He joked while the glass of whiskey had already been to his lips. Bobby had always been a lightweight, but reverting back to an age where his tolerance was even lower meant getting buzzed more quickly. His left arm rested on top of the couch, glass in hand, as he tried his best to push out the thoughts in his mind regarding his new life. Bobby tended to avoid talks of feelings, choosing to crack a joke or completely avoid any discussion pertaining to the topic. Alcohol tended to bring out the side that he chose to push down, and he was doing his absolute best to not make it known just how affected mentally he is with this situation. â Twinky?â A chuckle escaped from his lips unintentionally, shaking his head at the word. â Canât say Iâve heard that one before.â He leaned back on the couch, finishing the rest of the whiskey in the glass with one large chug. â You know, most people would jump at the chance to repeat years of their lives - but not me. My parents stopped speaking with me in 2011 and didnât speak with me until 4 years later. All that work and now Iâm going to have to deal with this shit all over again.â Bobby rubbed at his temples.  â Anything you dreading having to experience again?â He wouldnât admit it, but Bobby was just happy to be around someone he knew, even though their friendship still had its cracks that were bound to come up.
