Where's the line between comedy and abuse?

I’m so sick of facebook “comedians” making videos about spoilt girlfriends (this next part is aimed at guys too but the videos usually portray girls in this role) P L E A S E stop making “comedic” videos about e.g. “when he doesn’t text you back” where the girlfriend completely berates the guy and he then is seen desperately showering her with expensive gifts or worse she starts to beat him, if this is ‘relatable content’ to you, you might need to re-think what having a relationship is about, being a boyfriend isn’t a job, it’s something you become voluntarily out of a need to display you love for someone and vice versa. Build your relationship on love and understanding, not lust and impressing.

okay yes true but

1. most of those clothes are hella expensive. like if you thought Macy’s prices are ridiculous… hoo boy

2. most of those clothes are made for women in their 40s and 50s. and i’m not saying there’s anything wrong with those kinds of clothes, but, shocker of all shockers, an 18 year old probably doesn’t want to wear the same clothes her middle-aged mother wears

3. most of those clothes are semi-fancy at least – dresses, pantsuits, blouses, etc. not a whole lot for just walking around.

4. these stores are few and far between, and if your city doesn’t have one, be prepared to drive. a lot. (or if your city doesn’t have a busline)
