Demi looked over at him and just felt instantly comforted by his words. He always had a way of speaking so that she felt better about their relationship, even when she wasn’t sure what she was doubting exactly. They were rock solid, that was a fact even she knew. “Mmmm. Two weeks sounds nice but it’s a long time. Maybe a week and then just a few random days for ourselves? I think I’d miss our babies too much if we left them for two weeks!” Her hand slid along his stomach as she let out a soft sigh. “A hotel on Friday is going to be just what we need.”
He nodded a little in agreement, shuffling closer to her as he let his eyes close once again. “Mmm, yeah. It’ll be nice. Some peace and quiet, no clothes, no Disney channel and cartoons… Demi, I’m going to lose my mind if I see the Little Mermaid one more time.” he laughed softly, then gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze. “And room service. Oh my god, I’d love to not have to cook for picky kids. They’re mine – you think they’d have better taste buds, but noooo.”
Demi laughed softly as she tried to hold back an eye roll. "I love the Little Mermaid!" She grinned and tickled his side before nuzzling herself into the little crook in his arm. Even after all this time, they felt like they were made for one another. "They're so picky because they are your children." She teased him softly. "They just want the best food all of the time. Even if that food right now is just Mac and cheese!"
