so... thoughts on murray and azune's relationship??? i'm not even sure how to best describe it, but it's cute
if mag'nayar has no fans pls assume i'm dead. they're truly the most third type relationship that I'm perfectly content with them remaining platonic or going a more romantic route.
murray is, i assume, the longest friendship azune has maintained that also has largely remained outside of thjazi's sphere. (i do think azune wonders/suspects murray taught him more about his powers BC of thjazi. that being said their sustained bond remained outside of that) i also do think azune questions his relationships atm because he questions himself. also because i think he fears most hal and murray's reaction to the more violent side of him. it wasn't a coincidence his questioning about whether murray hates him at times came after a combat (and a period where He questioned his role all these years).
it's also very important to me, with how much we've seen murray doubt herself that she has someone always in her corner. calling her brilliant, ready to back her theories, praising her magic. azune couldn't emotionally be there for hal, but he Did notice and ask about murray being emotional after her augury. he is the first person she reached out when everything went to shit in the overture.
i do think they are currently very much each other's person in any way of that word. they would protect each other, they would kill for each other. they go out to drink and throw daggers for fun. they're the funniest when they're together.
there's a deep devotion that i definitely wanted to see more during the schemers arc and i hope we explore more in the future.
