So it's day 2 of the summer break, and we already have silly season driver contract rumours. And ya know it ain't even for the 2024 season, it's for 2025.

If this is true a 2+3 deal would make sense for Charles. Gives him a chance of seeing what Ferrari are like in 26 with the new regs without being 100% locked into a long deal beyond 26 so he can get out if they totally screw it up, but if they don't and he wants to stay in Maranello another 3 years to 2029 the option is already there to extend until then.

As for Sainz... honestly I first of all don't see him getting a 2+3 deal from Ferrari, and honestly I don't see him in Ferrari in 2025 and beyond. Personally I see Alex Albon.

They say you learn something new everyday. Today what I learned is that Andrea is fluent in French!? I mean I guess it tracks he would be, given that’s Charles’s native language and it was also Jules’s native language, who Andrea worked with before.

Okay imma give some predictions for the race:

- Verstappen wins by 20 seconds or more

-Perez will come back to the top 6 but not the podium

- I’m hoping for a Leclerc podium/Ferrari double podium, but I’m willing to bet some interteam fuck up will cost them, be it strategy or communication

-And if Ferrari do eff things up Mercedes will score the most points of the Aston-Merc-Ferrari battle

-Albon points

How correct were my predictions?

1- half correct, Max did win but it wasn’t 20 seconds or more

2- Also half correct, he did get on the podium

3- LECLERC P2 BABY! (can you tell I’m a Leclerc fan?)

4- Ferrari didn’t eff up, so this one doesn’t matter. Anyways Merc were worse than I expected they’d be

5- Wrong.

Horner on F1TV Live saying that for Checo to swap places with Max during the race to help him in his battle for P2 in the championship he has to overtake him. So... RB will pull team orders earlier in the season to benefit Max in the title fight, however at a point in the season where Max has already won the title they won't pull team orders to benefit Checo in his battle for P2 in the championship?

About an hour til the sprint starts and I am willing to bet if Kevin keeps the lead off the start he is going to make that HAAS as wide as possible resulting in this being Max (and everyone else) trying to get past him
