It had been literally ages since they’d last met after Lidija had moved. And man did he miss her. She was so friendly when Amy was still around and brought with her an aura of comfort and peace. The thoughts, however, fell with a shake of his head as he assessed the situation. “Extremely sorry, I lost control and forgot about how fast I was going. Glad to see you’re alive, though. Literally.” He said with a nervous laugh, a smile always lingering on his lips. “How are you? It’s been so long.”
“Apology accepted, but Jesus Christ.” Lidija muttered, finally letting out a small chuckle escape her lips. She was alive and unhurt, and the man revealed himself to be her old companion, which was a pleasant surprise- no harm was caused. That is, of course, if Matt will remember to be careful from now on. “I’m-” She considered her words, “I’m good, my brother’s staying at my place and driving me crazy.” She smiled, shaking her head. “How are you and Amy? Still living in the same old place?”
"Yeah, would've turned into an absolute blood bath." Matt retorted with a small laugh, relieved that she wasn't too mad at him. It was, however, warming to meet her after years. "Oh? That sounds like wonderful news. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I've met him." He said with a smile. At her words, though, his face reduced to a sullen expression. He had totally forgotten that she had no idea what happened to his fiancée, and suddenly a wave of memories splashed by, leaving him fumbling for words. "Amy-uh, Amy is...not here anymore."
