Finn started to nod before she said that she wasnt really okay, and slowed down to pull over along with his heart sinking into his stomach. He put the truck into park once he pulled over, killed the engine, unbuckled his seat belt to look at her better. “What’s going on?”

Brittany swallowed hard and took a deep breath, rubbing her thighs slowly and kept her eyes down. “I, I was scared of us breaking up again. I was so scared that, I packed most of my important things in my suitcase. I’m scared that we’re just going to go through that day again and that time, I’ll really leave the apartment for good. I don’t like thinking like that.” She confessed and realized tears had fallen.

“Im sure too.” Finn agreed as he glanced over at her once she closed her eyes and glanced back at the road. “You doing okay?” He knew if something was wrong, he would turn around and head back into town.

The weight of knowing all her important things were in her bag on her shoulders made her stomach hurt. She took a deep breath and gave a small shrug. “Yeah, just a bit tired.” She said and bit her lip lightly. "No, no I’m not really okay.”

Finn pulled into the driveway, and parked when Brittany gotten out. He waited patiently, lightly bit down on his botton lip and killed the engine. He started it back up once he saw Brittany coming out, reached over and opened up the door for her. He backed out, nodded as he agreed. “Totally, I mean. I always kind of thought that the falls were romantic and the perfect spot for a nice romantic vacation.”

Brittany nodded while she looked out. “They definitely are. I’m sure they’ll have fireworks for the weekend too.” She said and shrugged. She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again.

He put his seatbelt on, backed out of the driveway, looked to see if any cars were coming and backed out of the driveway. He headed to her friends house, hoping that they would be okay with watching Lord Tubbington. “Excited to see the falls?”

Brittany got out the car as they arrived. She dropped Lord Tubbington off with his things and gave her quick instructions. She then returned to the truck, getting back in. “Yeah, definitely.” She said and leaned back in her seat. She looked out the window as they drove and smiled a little. “You?”

He glanced down at Lord Tubbington, swallowed hard and grabbed their things before he headed to his truck. He loaded everything up, glanced over at Brittany and gave her a smile. “You got everything?”

Brittany saw her cat following Finn as she smiled softly and nodded. “Yeah, I’ve got it all.” She said and shut the door. She picked up Lord tubbington and got inside, letting him sit beside her and herself in the middle. She texted her friend that they’d be stopping by.
