does anyone know how much older Jon is than Dany? i’m trying to find a definitive answer but everything i can find is conflicting, anywhere between a couple months to 7-8 months older. which has just led me down a rabbit hole trying to determine the timelines of Robert’s Rebellion and Tower of Joy and Daenerys birth and i’m afraid i’m never going to find the bottom help

I think it’s right around 9 months, Jon being older. THIS doesn’t include Dany’s birth but is a really cool interactive timeline for the rest of the Rebellion.

yeah i was looking at that, visually it’s very helpful, well except that it doesn’t include Rhaella and Dany. now am i crazy or does that timeline not list dates at all?? i’m clicking all over the place but not even the notes on each event tell me roughly when it occurred (that’s assuming it’s known at all) D:

There’s a spreadsheet someone somehwere made that had every major event chronologically and it lists Dany’s birthday as 05/10 and Jon’s as 08/02, with Jon being one year older.

i wish people would shut the fuck up about Dany’s sense of “entitlement” when a) clearly she’s not wrong about being entitled to the throne, when the writers via Bran establish that the Targaryens are still the rightful rulers of the 7K. b) i bet these same people accept Jon as entitled to the throne and as the rightful king by virtue of being Rhaegar’s son. and c) if all the above apply to Jon then they would apply to her as the only known Targaryen survivor at this time, and ALSO she’s going to earn it by saving Westeros and helping overthrow Cersei. therefore, by these lame double standards and extra hoops to jump through, she’s also going to “deserve” to sit on that throne.

what i really hear in these complaints is that you’re annoyed by a woman having enough confidence and pride in herself and her accomplishments to openly talk about them.

Next time the haters refer to Daenerys as “Dandelion” kindly remind them that Dandelions are one of the first signs of spring and are vitally important to pollinators.

We’ve been taught that dandelions are “bad” because they mar our idea of beautiful green lawns, but they’re actually extremely important sources of nectar for bees and birds in the early springtime. Kill off all of the dandelions and you severely hurt bees and birds. They’re also a natural bug an animal deterrent.

So, good luck having your Dream of Spring without the Dandelion.
