22. How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)?
Ooooh, jealousy is an ugly thing for Shri’iia that she will feel like her insides are eating itself. The thing is when Shri’iia gets jealous, she directs that awful feeling towards herself. The only person she lashes out onto is herself, because she thinks she is the one lacking.
She cannot amount to this other person, or someone special to her would rather give their attention to someone else that isn’t her, thus she’s the one who’s at fault for not being enough and she will beat herself down over it. It can get ugly too, because Shri’iia has a bad habit of overcompensating whenever she feels like she’s lacking 😭 like suddenly you see her trying too hard, and shes trying to make herself more pleasing, more palatable, she’s throwing herself at you because only your approval can absolve her from this ugly feeling.
32. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?
Shri’iia doesn’t really have a go-to story just because she rides off conversation well, and she’s very charismatic that it’s actually nice to talk to her 😭
I do like the idea of Shri’iia exaggerating stories about Menzoberranzan sometimes, like she’ll suddenly talk about how down in Menzoberranzan it is tradition for drows to go around and peel off the skin of non-drows then hang them to dry so they turn to leather, and they make goods out of it, and you ask her if that’s real and she’s like haha ❤️😁 doesn’t specify.
she jokes around a lot too, almost always in the expense of others unfortunately 😔
34. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?
I would imagine it’s similar to when she feels jealous, in the sense that if she feels guilty towards anyone she will try her very best to make up for it because only their approval will absolve her of that negative feeling. If it doesn’t work, she will try harder.
she will coax you to forgive her, or to relent, or she’d even bait you to take your frustration and hurt out on her because any reaction is better than no reaction at all and she wants to be useful to you, even if she will be your stress ball for it.
but really …. It’s something about how she always expects someone else to absolve her when she harbours those feelings…!!! Shri’iia is not independent at all, she has spent a century chasing the approval of her mistress and I think that dynamic will bleed into her new relationships.
