Exiting the diner, Remy already knew Tyler would be angry. He was typically all too smart, though. He knew how to hit her to where nobody would see, usually. Most of the time, he was even careful to leave her arms unmarked. That's what happened when they got home. He'd yelled and screamed at her, accused her of cheating, called her awful names, and Remy tried everything to calm him, convince him that wasn't the case. It didn't do her much good. The next day, she was stuck at home, too sore and in pain to go anywhere.
That night, Tyler didn't come home until late. It was a reprieve for the female, especially since he passed out of the couch. He was still pretty angry with her. The blonde tried. She tried so hard to be good, well behaved - whatever it was that would calm him, and she thought things were better. He seemed better that morning. Then night came, and he returned home drunk. It'd been around three days since the diner. He wanted sex and she attempted to decline - even though that wasn't truly an option with him. Tyler never much gave her a choice with sex, always simply informing her like the decision was made. It only made him angrier, shoving her around, saying stuff about her seeing Aaron. He mentioned someone telling him they were holding hands, and Remy said it wasn't true, tried to convince him otherwise. He manipulated her with his words, coercing her into sex... and in her mind, trying to find some way to enjoy it, she made the mistake of picturing Aaron and saying his name.
Everything stood still, it felt like time itself stopped. It wasn't the first time he hit her face, but it was the hardest. It stunned her, especially given the male was 6'2" with an athletic build. Before she knew it, she was dragged off the bed and thrown across the room, hitting the side of the dresser and the wall. It was a blur after that, him hitting her, kicking her, tossing her like a little ragdoll. At one point, she managed to grab a robe and get it on her, trying to run from him. He tripped her causing her to fall. Something clicked in her to fight back, to try and help herself, but it only pissed him off more. She was afraid tonight was it - she was going to die. She only got in a few decent hits before his final blow to her that had her falling and stumbling into the side lamp table that was partially glass. Her weight broke it, the glass partly shattering and cutting her up as her head hit the metal rim that held the round glass table piece in place.
Tyler left. The neighbors called the cops, having heard the commotion which was a blessing. Remy was unconscious when they arrived and took her to the hospital. She awoke in the ambulance, terrified, and though she desperately wanted her mom, the first number she gave the nurse, when asked, was Aaron's, though they didn't let anyone see her until they finished the exams and ran all the tests, getting her cleaned up, stitched, bandaged, and officially admitted to a room.
Remy wasn't aware of how bad she looked, and the pain was somewhat under control thanks to the pain medication. Her injuries were extensive, nothing life threatening, which the doctor told her was practically a miracle. Her face was swollen with a bruise along her cheek and near her eye. She had many bruises - some from previous beatings, others still forming from that night peppering her skin. Additionally, there was a shoulder dislocation, fractured right forearm and wrist, sprained left ankle, bruised kidney, bruised rib, bruising along her neck from being choked, multiple lacerations from the glass along her arm and torso, a few of them being deep cuts, a longer cut on the side of her forehead, concussion, bone bruise on the left hip.
