I finally saw Masquerade in NYC last week (in addition to meeting a bunch of phandom people irl), and I can’t express how much I love Clay Singer and Riley Noland’s performance. The bed scene was especially something else, so much so that I had to draw it or else it would’ve haunted me until my next trip back. And honestly, how am I supposed to be normal until then?!

All of this is to say: people need to go see Pulse 5. I personally already can’t wait to go back.

Being an anime fan in your 30s is a crazy experience. One moment this interest will be as niche as humanly possible, then you'll witness the Toonami block on American TV, the popularity in anime conventions raise, and the mainstream era of people watching "One Piece" as a live action show on Netflix, all within your lifetime. And yet, you'll comment on something by referencing (as a total compliment) a term from said Japanese pop culture world, and suddenly people give you the side eye. The cultural whiplash is insane.
