Can you give us an idea of how you will be using the text of  the interview, or are you still thinking about it?

As of now I'm still thinking about it. But I like the idea that in order to see the work you need to read something. Sometimes we go to a musuem and see art and then don't understand what it is we are looking at till after. I want to reverse that. Read, then see. I might make it an audio first or actual writing. Stil deciding

Subject One. I am starting to think about displaying the images either in a collage or a flip book. I also recorded behind the scenes of this interview and want to include the words he used.

My proposal will be the idea of Age of Aquarius. As astrologers believe we are going into a new age by December 21st, people have created music, stories, and been fascinated with the idea on what could come with this new time. As my themes in the past have been about ending and creation, I want to symbolize the same thing with actual people and portraits. In studies people have found that when you speak kindly to a plant, they do better. Similar to this, I would do the same in portraits. Talk to them about the pain of this year, but also talk about future with them, conducting interviews on the good and the bad. The end and the creation.

I knew I had to get the project done so Sunday night I was thinking of some ideas. It was late and I was exhausted emotionally. As a kid I was taught that it is important to cry. To be able to harness every emotion.

I like to listen to music that makes me feel a certain way. I have a playlist for every emotion, so as I was emotionally drained, about to take a bath, I thought about documenting the emotions I was feeling. I lit a candle, and put on some of my favorite sad songs. As I started to tear, and the mirrors from the steam of the water fogged up, I took the camera and took photos of myself.

As I was waiting for the water to fill, and felt my sadness pour out, I decided to look in the mirror and smile at myself. I may sound mentally insane. However, I had this idea flow to my head. As I smiled at some pain in the mirror, I realized that I am the only one that can make myself happy. I decide how I want to feel. I can choose to be happy or sad.

I didn't go into shooting these thinking I would get this outcome. But I am glad I did. I played some happier music, and realized all my body needed was some rest.

Theme 1: The world of reflection

We usually look out at the world through a glass window, but we can also try to see the reflection of the world through a glass window.

I love the shoe image. It's almost as if you purposely personified them.

Like I put in my last post about ending of times, to becoming a new world, I looked through my photos and have chose the second theme of Creation.

A lot of these photos are of people just starting out, artists that already see the world differently, now finally emerging. So I will continue on with Ending, to Creation.

The first theme : The End of Times

It has all popped in our head at least once "is this the end of life." I believe now more then ever we think wow this has never happened before. Although I disagree of the world ending, I believe it is changing into a completely new purpose. A new age so to speak. So while every movie ever made about the world ending looks similar to these photographs, it will be interesting to continue on with this theme.

This is one of my favorite photos I have taken in Nicaragua on an old iPhone back in 2015. The photos for this week are inspired by this one, trying to capture "scenes" in my city I am in now.
