MEANINGLESS WORSHIP
God has made it abundantly clear what he requires of us: to do justice, love, kindness and walk humbly before Him (Mic 6:8.) What does it say of us when we fail to do this for anyone, then comes Sunday morning and we lift up our hands and praise the Almighty God? It's offensive to Him. There is a reason why we are to offer our lives as sacrificial worship before the Lord.
Praise is not separate from worship (Ro 12:1-2.) We must not curse man with the same lips with which we bless God (Jas 3:9.) Salt water can originate from the same source as fresh water (Jas 3:11) and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit (Mat 12:33.) What does the fruit of our lives say about the words of our mouths? Are we just offering lip service to God? – Commentary by Sarine Thomas
Prayer:
Lord God, I do not want to offer You praise with my lips if my life does not worship You. Teach me to analyze my ways so I can know if my "sacrifice of praise" is pleasing to You.
BOASTING AND FAITH Most men will proclaim everyone his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?" – Proverbs 20:6 When the Titanic set sail it was called, "The boat that even God can't sink!" The marketing ploy was used, of course, to convince travellers that the colossal barge was safer than any boat ever made. For the architectural team and the passengers, having any connection with the Titanic was a huge bragging right. However, it was also a testimony of the great unfaithfulness of man. How soon had he forgotten his dependence on God alone! This is true with every man who boasts of his own goodness or success; he unfaithfully steals the recognition that only God deserves. The Bible says that men and women, who are faithful by acknowledging God's role in bringing them to their success, are a rarity. Ironically, giving God the praise He deserves actually makes us stand out! In a world where people brag of their own successes, be the one who boasts of what God is able to do. – Commentary by Steffanie Howard Pray: Father, please forgive me if I have refused to give You the recognition You deserve. Help me to be more aware of all You are doing in my life, so I can share it with others. Amen.

COME TO KNOW HIS PEACE
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ… – Romans 5:1
What is the most beautiful sight that you’ve ever had the delight of seeing? Maybe it was the wonderful glow of a sunset across the water on a beach? And how did you feel Afterwards. Most likely, they made you happy and full of peace.
In today’s busy world, it is important for us to be at peace and to have it daily. It helps us to live successfully, and not to be burdened by society. You will find the perfect form of peace through our Lord. We have the assurance that he is in control. We can rest in him. When his presence fills our hearts, it is certain that everything will be fine. It is through him, and his blessings, that we can have happiness and tranquility in every moment. – Commentary by Lisa M. Leto
Prayer:
Father Lord, You are my perfect form of peace. Please fill my heart with happiness and tranquility. Amen.
"Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endureth forever." - Psalm 106:1
Was there ever a time in your childhood when you tried something unfavorable and disappointed your parents? Perhaps they told you not to do it in the first place and Possibly disciplined you for it? But they forgave you, wanted you to learn, and grow as a person.
We all have inadequacies and imperfections. No one is perfect. But, we can always come before our Creator in prayer. There we will find the understanding of a Father's gentle heart. We can ask for forgiveness and find an abundance of mercy and compassion.
He may try to teach us wisdom through the process, so we may grow. But, the slate will be cleaned. Our steps will be made stronger. Through the beauty and power of his presence, we can always come again before his throne and find mercy. – Commentary by Lisa M. Leto
Prayer Father, thank You for Your heart of mercy and love. Thank You for always being there.Amen.
