oh hey, is that a child's birthday cake?
I didn’t want to talk about this because it’s so unlike me to bring up subjects like this, I like to keep the peace, but right now I feel like hulk smashing a child’s birthday cake.
I didn’t want to give it any more exposure than it already has, but for people who have watched this video, I have a couple of things I want to say.
the video in question - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW9uG9Nf6vI
this is not content, this is trash, it’s disrespectful, misogynistic, contradicting, and just really foul. these guys are sending out a lot of terrible messages and I just wanted to say, if someone expects you to be a certain way, or in these guys cases, 50+ different ways, they’re not worth your time or energy.
I don’t care what kind of videos these guys make, but as soon as they start telling someone what they should do or be, then it gets problematic, because there are a lot of impressionable, young people who subscribe to people like this on YouTube.
I hope these guys own up and admit they’ve said a lot of terrible things, but sadly, I don’t think they will. If you were offended in any way by their video, jeez, I’d like to apologise on their behalf, because they sure as hell won’t.
you’re safe in my little nook of the internet. I will continue to tell stories and have fun adventures, and you’re all invited.
for peeps who didn’t understand my video about “what I look for in a girl” that I made ages ago, I hope you finally understand. I basically portrayed my feelings towards this kind of content in a very kickthepj way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWcR59H7o2A
PJ, OUT! *vanishes in a puff a smoke leaving behind a child’s birthday cake*
I love how Nash Grier posted this on his Twitter afterwards;
"All we were trying to do was make those girls that had some of those attributes feel good about themselves!"
Really? You literally listed, for almost 10 minutes, a huge amount of unrealistic features of a girl that society are constantly trying to tell us are the best features, the features that make the ‘perfect girl’, to make those girls feel good about themselves? As if they didn’t already feel good about themselves?
If you genuinely want to make girls feel good about themselves why not tell us that you find it attractive when a girl has a little (or a lot of) extra weight, or when a girl has a lot of body hair, or when a girl can’t go into the kitchen make you an amazing fucking sandwich? You know, these extremely common features of a female that can often make them feel like shit?
You know, I say that, but whether you were listing cliche features of a ‘perfect’ girl, or more realistic features of a more realistic girl, it does not matter, because women do not exist to impress you.
Whether you fit the description that these three boys threw at us in this video, or whether you are the complete opposite, you are still wonderful, okay?
