“being your best friend was amazing and so is now being your future husband. we could be rushing it by adding children to the mix, but it’s too soon for that.” he chuckled sadly. “i always love you happy, no matter what,” he paused to eye the ring, smiling softly, “that ring is beautiful.”
“never, i’ve been thinking about it ever since i asked you to move in with me. because you were the only one that i wanted.” he admitted with a crack to his tone, tears still falling, “you’re still the one that i want.” dottie looked up at vince and returned the kiss. “i love you.”
“i do agree that it’s way too soon for children.” vince chuckled back. “likewise.” he held up the ring to look at it again, “thank you. but it’s not as beautiful as the man who bought it.” vince smiled at dottie once more. wanting nothing more than to see him smile genuinely.
“baby.” he took dottie’s shoulders when more tears fell. “you’re the one that i’ve always wanted and that i always will want and i love you too, dottie martin. more than i’ll ever be able to explain.”
