Let's be honest this show needs more episodes in a season. I'm already dying for the next season to start and it hasn't even been a week since the S2 finale.

The Last Mermaid: Thoughts and feelings.

1. Ben is an idiot. I know he's not in his right mind, but still he's damaging his own brain at this point. He didn't even listen to the sacred healing song after.

(It's becoming pretty clear that he's no better than his ancestor. His feelings for Ryn are becoming more of an obsession and an addiction than love. His is incredibly dangerous, but luckily Maddie is the voice of reason in their relationship.)

2. Ryn had me wanting to cry with how sad she looked while telling Maddie that she wasn't pregnant.

3. The rift between Ben and Ryn really allowed Ryn's connection to Maddie to really shine, as it always has before even if people ignore it. A lot of people still continue to think Ryn and Ben is better than the three of them together despite the clearly toxic obsession he has with Ryn. If it weren't for Maddie being there Ben and Ryn could really hurt each other.

4. I really like the new merman. He's attractive in a mysterious way, but seriously where the fuck is Levi? Also, the new merman was having the night of his life in that cabin. He'll probably be the one limping out though.

5. Where is Nicole? Did the military decide she was too invested and brainwash her like it seems they did Chris? Also, poor Xander.

6. I know I'm not the only one who was thinking Xander and the two mermaids were gonna hook up in his car. He was asking way too many questions and he seemed so flustered. He seemed tempted.

(I actually think Xander, Hunter, and Nicole would make a cute poly ship too if Nicole comes back. I think Xander dating a mermaid would show a lot of growth.)

7. I'm happy the Ben and Ryn kinda made up by the end of the episode, but that would not have happened if it wasn't for Maddie's love for the two of them and their love for her. She really helped reassure Ryn that Ben is not like his family, despite the fact that he's probably gonna follow the same path as his ancestor because he listened to the song again.

8. THE PREVIEW FOR THE NEXT EPISODE THOUGH! LIKE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THAT HYBRID CULT?!

Siren S02E10: Thoughts and Feelings

Wow! That episode was such a rollercoaster of emotions. Also, that transformation was amazing! I loved the CGI of it. I felt so bad for my poor little mermaid when they were treating her like an exhibit at the zoo though. I'm pretty sure Ryn is stuck in a fight or flight state because of the unknown effects of the anesthesia on mermaids. It probably triggered a stress response in her body. When she went off in the grocery store though! She was so cute while sniffing the produce to find something that appealed to her.

That Polymarine scene had me fanning myself. That was certainly one way to get his mind off of his mother's paralysis. Ryn really meant it when she said her and Maddie would take care of him. I'm sure all the anti-polymarine shippers were glaring at their screens until Ryn started choking Ben out, and probably still since they want it to just be Ben x Ryn. I'm worried about Ryn, but I know Maddie and Ben will fight to get her back. Maddie especially as she's always believed the Ryn is good even when Ben second guessed her.

I think the hybrids did something to Helen's mom. I wish the old one would've said what they did before Rick's sister interrupted them. I have a feeling the hybrids are more of a cult than a pack.

I'm so excited for the two hours of Siren next week!!!
