Sara.
It was around 2am at work when I decided to go for my break from a 12 hour long & busy shift. I was exhausted and like most people do in their breaks, I made a strong cup of coffee to keep me awake til 7am. I was on Instagram and Facebook simultaneously when I saw a post of somebody looking for a photo collab in Auckland. I sent a message & wasn’t actually hoping for a reply as the post was quite old plus a lot of awesome photographers already replied to the post. Long story cut short, I met Sara on a gloomy rainy afternoon which is just perfect. Considering that it’s summer here in Auckland, a bit of rainfall cools down the heat this weather brings. Sara is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and it was so refreshing to hear an accent where my ears and tongue has always been accustomed to. It was a good break for me as I was working my ass off for long hours and photography keeps me sane from the toxicity, sounds and echoes of hospital walls. It was a fun & cool meet up and I have a feeling we’ll be doing more photos in the future! Sara, a tattooed traveler is a photographer who love dogs, drinks tea and just turned 23! (I think she also likes some spicy chicken now haha!) So happy birthday to this inked visual artist and I hope you enjoy New Zealand in the pursuit of your goals! More photos of Sara soon! Stay tuned! Peace! Sara’s website is here. Instagram’s here.
This is Abby leaving New Zealand & heading back to her mainland for good. We’ve been colleagues for 3+ years in the hospital and good friends off work . It makes you realize that nothing indeed is permanent in this world. Enjoy every second you’re around with great company as tomorrow they’ll be gone.
The beach that I keep coming back to! Managing photos and full time work at the same time ain’t easy! Sorry for the late uploads!
Piha Beach afternoon hangs with one of the illest. @otherworld.ly
Had the chance to meet with humanitarian photographer @otherworld.ly in Instagram who happens to be in Auckland for a while. “storytelling through stills” check her travel photos here.
Walks. Architecture. Streets. Appreciation.
