💖 a moodboard for a very special day… 💖
The Queen lived. But was she ever truly born? Was she ever truly alive?
The bird must destroy a world to get out of the egg, right? But Elizabeth stayed within that world. Too cowardly to destroy it. Too cowardly to do the right thing, sticking to tradition, staying in that eggshell. Fucking over everyone, not wanting to look at the truth, not wanting to care, she was never truly born. She lived. She lived long. But she never lived truthfully. She lived in malice.
Everyone has a biological birth, but we all need to grow up and have a birth of the mind eventually. To be truly born you must destroy that egg you are confined in. Do not be like Queen Elizabeth. She died without never truly being born, and now she suffers for eternity in the Cornfield alongside her ancestors and husband. And her little dogs are joining her, unfortunately. All because she never broke the world — the egg, but you can. You can do the right thing, be the big person, change your world, accept change, learn, breathe, be born. I was only truly born after the Yaoi War, that was when I finally fought my way truthfully out of that egg.
Be truly born and live to truth. Stay in the egg and die only to celebration.

the history of radical queer sex is essential to understanding the history of american sexuality as a deeply warped and coercive model based on eugenics and white supremacy and punitive christianity; there is nothing wholesome or neutral about the united states’s understanding of sex and sexuality and seeing how queer sexuality seeks to heal the wounds created by our sick history is part of the enterprise of liberation.
“why can’t we take the sex stripe off the flag” because queer leathermen who wrote and thought about their experiences did more to heal male sexuality in the eighties than centuries of writing that came before it. because lesbian resistance to the puritanism of the anti-porn feminists gave them political and philosophical insights invaluable to the struggles ahead of them. because trans writing on the beauty and power of engaging in consensual sex while inhabiting an imperfect/fat/trans disabled/racialized body is the most powerful antidote to the white supremacist body standards that dictate who deserves to access their sexuality.
