I want to write about the lore regarding the guy in the third panel:

You guys are right that the guy eating food IS the dad from Crayon Shin-Chan. There is an official spin-off that is a gourmet manga starring Shin-Chan’s dad.

The silent man in the third panel is a reference to a certain artist on Pixiv who became a meme because he kept posting gay fanart of himself together with Shin-Chan’s dad, titled “Hiroshi Nohara and me”. Sadly it seems like his account is deleted now.

also we have GOT to collectively come to terms with the fact that me or any other stranger online disliking or even making fun of something you like is not saying “no fun allowed” “no one can ever enjoy this” you have simply got to grow a spine and be able to like the shit you like. you don’t even have to defend it! like 90% of the media i really enjoy is divisive and half my friends actively hate it. i really don’t give a fuck though because i like it. you can write whatever you want! you’re allowed! even if it’s MY least favorite genre or style of writing and i have active distaste for it!

It's not only mischaracterization though I've seen like three variants of the "problematic aura gap" meme mentionned and they're so right. I love Tartah dearly but he is a little nerd & imo bit of a daddy's nicest boy meanwhile Coustas would be the medieval equivalent of the mysterious transfer student who's a tiktok famous dancer
