Media already exists during pre-colonial times as medium of information. And as time goes by, the importance of mass communication grows. This is due to the advancement of technology. Information is now easily spread compared to before, but at the same time, information can be easily manipulated because of the ignorance of the people thinking all the information that they see are true.

In this task, we need to create an infomercial that discusses Artificial Intelligence.

Nowadays, AI is everywhere. It is possible because this technology is already invented long ago. Thanks to this, AI is now beneficial for us humans and now an everyday tool for most of the people.

Proposal

We were tasked to give a prototype that can help in crime investigations.

This microchip is able to provide reliable evidences and decrease the misjudgements in court trials. This will be able to improve the quality of crime investigations. The advancement of the technology should be able to improve the services in our community. This includes crime investigations, health, transportation, etc.

For this performance task, we were to create a storyboard that shows the transformative power of MIL.

In our storyboard, a woman can be seen as a victim of fake news, rumors. It shows that the power of Media and Information can transform someone negatively or positively.

Poster - Martial Law

For this activity, we were tasked to make a poster of the media during the Martial law.

Bribed, silenced, tortured. During the time of Marcos, the media was used to manipulate. To show a fake information where those in power abuse to cover their real intentions. Those journalists who try to give the right information are silenced and tortured.

Essay

We were tasked to write our reflection regarding our performance for the semester in MIL.

After writing the reflective essay, I just realized how much I have grown after studying MIL. The knowledge, the awareness, the techniques, and the advocacy that every MIL student must have.
