Hey rubyyyyy hahah NO IDEA who this is right,,,, no clue haha,, anyway can I get some ivory scepter
send me a ship and i’ll write something small for it! please don't send any more in i'm struggling with the ones i have FMDBFJDB
Cassiopeia presses her lips together as she watches the room in front of her. She's holding a ball as an apology of sorts for all of her… wrongdoings. Not that it's enough, of course - but it's a step in the right direction. She takes a sip from her champagne glass absentmindedly.
So far, she has danced with most of the Great Sages (including Oliver, who for some reason didn't think he was one? The height difference made it difficult to dance, but they managed) as well as two out of the three kingdoms' leaders. (Queen Lowlah was an experience.)
The last one whom it is imperative she dances with is a combination of these two titles. Emperor Marcassin of Hamelin himself. There's an issue, though, and a reason Cassiopeia left him for last.
Oliver, in an effort to reintegrate her into society, once told Cassiopeia about the kingdoms of the world. While talking about Hamelin, he had mentioned that until recently, Emperor Marcassin had been Prince Marcassin, having been too young to ascend the throne when his father died and too brokenhearted to do so when he came of age. Cassiopeia had asked which piece of heart was missing, entirely out of curiosity, and Oliver had told her he thought he was ugly, due to a lack of belief otherwise. (He had also coughed and said that might've been too personal to share.)
Cassiopeia wonders, even despite the fact he was brokenhearted, how in her father's name one such as him could come to such a conclusion.
His Majesty of Hamelin is currently sipping from a champagne glass, talking to a rather scruffy looking man who looks incredibly uncomfortable about being in a suit. Cassiopeia believes she was told they are brothers. She finds it difficult to believe. Marcassin laughs, across the hall, and Cassiopeia takes a breath in. She can do this.
She places her glass on the table next to her, and begins to make her way across the room. As she does so, she passes Oliver, who is talking with the fairy sitting on his shoulder (Drippy, his name was - she only remembers because he drilled it into her head by yelling that he was the Lord High Lord of the Fairies, whatever that means) and a blonde girl standing next to him. Oliver gives Cassiopeia a little wave as she goes by, and she smiles back as she continues walking.
She makes it over to where Marcassin is talking with his brother (she should really remember his name), and they turn their attention to her as she approaches.
"Emperor Marcassin," she says, respectfully, "Would you care to dance?"
He smiles. Of course, he had seen her dance with the others, so he must have been expecting this. "I'd be delighted to," he says, giving his glass to his brother and allowing Cassiopeia to take his hand. For some reason, his brother rolls his eyes as she leads him away. Cassiopeia wonders why.
As they begin dancing, Marcassin looks up at her, and Cassiopeia has to mentally take a second so that she doesn't tune out everything he's saying in favour of looking at his face. "I haven't a chance to talk with you properly yet, your Majesty," he says. "How have you been since… everything?"
Cassiopeia blinks. With everyone else today, she has been the first to talk, and certainly no one has asked her how she is. (Except Oliver, of course, but that's Oliver.) "I've certainly been doing better than I was," she laughs slightly, "and Oliver has certainly been helping."
"That's all he seems to do," Marcassin says, briefly glancing over at where Oliver happens to be attempting to hold his fairy companion back from diving into the chocolate fountain. Cassiopeia hums as she watches Oliver drag him away from the table altogether.
"You certainly helped bring me back to my old self as well, did you not?" she says, and Marcassin's attention snaps back to her. "I happen to be in your - and a lot of people's, really - debt. I do apologise for the trouble I've put you through."
Marcassin looks up at her. If she didn't know better, Cassiopeia would say he was staring. "Oh, well… anyone would have done so, had they been in my position," he says, finally.
"I doubt so," Cassiopeia says. "I don't doubt, however, that my time as the White Witch was detrimental to the world, and therefore detrimental to your kingdom and to your country. I sincerely apologise, your Majesty, and hope to make it up to you in any way possible in the future."
Cassiopeia is most likely mistaken, but she thinks Marcassin's cheeks may be tinged the slightest shade of pink. "W-well, apology accepted, Queen Cassiopeia," he says, and he stutters. Isn't that simply adorable?
Cassiopeia smiles. "Wonderful," she says, and as the song ends, she leads him back to where he was before, his brother handing his champagne glass back to him.
As she walks away, she marvels at how she managed to do that without tripping over her own feet. She looks back and sees Marcassin's brother smirking as he talks, and she wonders what he's saying as Marcassin's face turns red.
I think I left my consiousness in the sixth dimension
Left my soul in his vision
Hey Shortcake for the 12 world fanfic, how about some ivory scepter?
Thanks cirava I love you
Marcassin blinked, unmoving. “You’re pretty.”
Queen Cassiopeia smiled. “And so are you.”
you know what I’m obsessed with right now? you know what I love?
The idea of Marcassin having a huge ass crush on Cassiopeia but never admitting it to himself. It’s pretty obvious so Swaine picked up on it. Swaine will say things like “Do you love her?” and Marcassin just completely denies it, even though he’s blushing super hard and was talking about her 2 minutes prior. Then you get Swaine saying stuff like “My brother’s cute, isn’t he?” to Cassiopeia and she has no idea so she’s just really confused. In other words just Swaine being an awesome big brother and like a wingman. I mean I also like overprotective big bro Swaine but bruh,,,,,,
Transcript because my writing sucks “don’t touch my hoe”
“I’ve only had Marcy for a day and a half, but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself”
